For me, it's:

  • emptying the contents of the small food waste bin into the large one outside. Fiddly and messy. Why do the caddy liner bags never fit properly and split so easily?!
  • cleaning our pokey shower cubicle with it's annoying bi-fold door, mosaic tiles and miles of white (or it should be white!) grout! It was here when we moved in I should add!!

Am I overlooking something far more hideous but as commonplace though?!

Ironing.

JWIM · 24/06/2014 20:20

Putting the weekly shop away - would pay to have someone do it but my OCD tendencies would make that even more of a challenge!

tryingtocatchthewind · 24/06/2014 20:23

JWIM I thought there would be no way anyone else would say that. I HATE putting shopping away, seems such a minor thing compared with loo scrubbing/ironing/bin stuff but I hate it.

HappydaysArehere · 24/06/2014 20:31

Hated ironing so much started hanging things up and folding carefully. Soon cottoned on to what a waste of time ironing was. It's fine if you enjoy it. I only iron when absolutely necessary. Modern fabrics are great for the ironing hater and think of the electricity you save!

ILikeToClean · 24/06/2014 20:42

Hate changing the beds!

Framboisier · 24/06/2014 20:47

Putting clean laundry away.
How can it take SO LONG?! The only way to ease the pain is to listen to The News Quiz etc, but I detest it

Sandthorn · 24/06/2014 21:33

Also putting laundry away. And cleaning the seal of the washing machine (barf).

I would hate ironing, except we've just completely opted out of it.

pumpkinsweetie · 24/06/2014 21:37

Washing up!! Grooooaaaan, once I'm done it piles up again tenfoldAngry

Like others also putting the clean mountain of laundry awayBlush
I sometimes let it build up to massive proportions in the hope it disappears and much to my disappointment it never does...
Need a laundry fairy

pumpkinsweetie · 24/06/2014 21:38

oh and the dreaded food caddy tipping boak

DearDinah · 24/06/2014 21:41

Cleaning the kitchen cupboards/kick boards
Why oh why did we think white would be a good colour!

All of them! I would love a cleaner. Particularly hate changing beds and hoovering the (dark wood Angry) Venetian blinds.

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme · 24/06/2014 21:53

How do you opt out of ironing?

Leant to love creases?

I bloody hate ironing but I can't bear to see all the creases either. It is an eternal conundrum.

Not too keen on vacuuming. Makes me angry, it's such a faff. Dragging the bloody thing round the house, banging into walls. It's a Henry and it's round, why does it fetch up against a wall and stick there? It's round ffs, it should just move. Hmm

ameliarose2012 · 24/06/2014 22:15

If you carefully fold everything straight out of the machine, leave it to sit for an hour or so, then hang it up, you'll never need to iron again!

That's what we do. I hardly ever iron Grin

MrsMook · 25/06/2014 05:46

The kitchen and especially the high chair zone.
Sortaing the laundry.

The two are never-ending which is why they are so frustrating.

Tidying away the random bitty stuff hurts my head. A lot.

wowfudge · 25/06/2014 06:58

I didn't say I do a lot of ironing - I don't - but I do hate it!

Gerty1002 · 25/06/2014 07:35

Sorting paperwork. There is a basket full waiting in the under stair cupboard :(.

Also putting away laundry.

Used to hate ironing until I got a steam generator - I still iron the bare minimum though.

WanderingTrolley1 · 25/06/2014 07:45

I like sorting and putting away laundry.

Hate dusting. Hate wiping down bathroom sink/surrounding areas, but can't stand toothpaste splashes and water everywhere.

Hate cooking most of all.

SecretNutellaFix · 25/06/2014 07:49

Cleaning the bathroom

Putting away laundry

Putting away the weekly shop

Mine all seem to revolve around putting stuff away and yes, I have always been a bit untidy.

needtobediscreet · 25/06/2014 09:00

Secret, Mrsmook, Gerty - yes to general putting away, random bitty things and paperwork.

Hate highchair cleaning too. Always feels like groundhog day :) 'wipe baby, wipe highchair, wipe floor under highchair, wipe myself... and repeat 12 x day (or so it feels!!)

Ironing
Emptying the dishwasher

Figwin · 25/06/2014 09:47

Ironing. We don't do it unless truly necessary.
Why have they not invented a better way to do this yet like a machine that does it all for you?

mkmjimmy · 25/06/2014 15:19

Hate housework - but the thing that riles me the most is washing baking trays. No one else seems to do them - or don't seem to think they count as part of washing up and tidying the kitchen.

givehimaninch · 25/06/2014 15:36

Cleaning the loo.
Cleaning the oven [I do this once a year at most, probably why it is so awful]
Washing up, drying up and putting away every night when i'm so tired I can barely see straight [no dishwasher]

HappydaysArehere · 25/06/2014 15:45

I've got a neff oven with a pyrotechnic setting. Only have to clean shelves. What a blessing! My daughter has an oven cleaning service. Not badly priced and no expenditure on products and nasty chemicals near food. I think she pays £30 or £40 whenever it gets really bad. Doesn't make a mess.
