What one thing most improves your home?

I'm moving in with my DP and I was wondering what one thing that you have makes the biggest difference to the quality of life you have at home? I think having iPod speakers/a radio in the kitchen would be a nice thing. Anyone else?

roomba and scooba. my floors are always spotlessly clean and it motivates me to keep the floors clear and tidy so we can put them on.

Possibly the dishwasher, assuming an automatic washing machine is more of a given.

A command centre of some kind so you can always find keys, wallet, mail, receipts, etc...

Woodburner.

A cleaner.

Dishwasher. Closely followed by tumble dryer. Assuming you already have a washing machine.

Hard to think of just one but family planner, fresh flowers and a radio in the bathroom are all up there. Oh and some kind of miraculous kitchen extension so I could have a dishwasher is on the wish list.

fresh flowers. especially nicely scented ones like white stocks. they make me smile

Clean floor. All toys, bags, clothes off the floor and cleaned and mopped.

Roomba and scooba. No arguments. They keep the floors spotless and I don't have to make them coffee and listen to them moan.

dishwasher,tumble dryer, icemaker and water dispenser on the fridge.

A decent, ridiculously comfortable, large enough, feels like it's just made for you bed.

New carpet. Won't be clean for long but all the tea stains will be ours

Dishwasher, nice comfy sofa, DAB radio, big fridge freezer. Oh and big shoe racks.

Pot plants. Except when I forget to water them for ages and they die.

I mean innocent 'pot' plants not interesting ones.

A properly comfortable bed.

I was reading this thread from the bottom up, so ended up going: "Pot plants - yup, definitely. Comfy sofa- aww, yeah. Vuvuzela on the bed?!! "

Me..it would all go to shit without me . Keep hold of your own music. Pictures .

Tumble dryer, fitted carpets and radio.

Vuvuzela on the bed..ooh.. nice idea....trumpet requests down for tea..wine..ice cream ..whatever takes your fancy....now that's what I call a command centre!

Tumble dryer and my cleaner, followed closely by my bed and pillows, and a decent, powerful shower with a wide two person shower cubicle.

Memory foam mattress, DH and kids.
