The very thought of having my kids at home for much longer makes me want to reach for the gin! It is towards the end of holidays that I start fantasizing about boarding school :o

Stopped ignoring the washing up (yay) or rather (finally!)
Fed kids
Trying to continue potty training (bit half arsed to be fair)
Put washing on, folded clean towels and put back with swimming stuff

Next on the unfuck list is to get kids into bed, and make dinner for myself and DH, and hope he comes home to eat it without being called out again!

whodunnit · 05/01/2014 00:19

I just unfucked the christmas guest/ decanted children scenario. And put up one curtain - can't reach the second one. Dd2 has unfucked her room (minor miracle). She has also unf!!ked the hamster - can I say that or does it get the social services knocking on the door?

MrsNouveauRichards · 05/01/2014 08:15

:o at unfucked hamster

I've juggled today around a bit, so I've got a spare hour at home this morning (yay for a whole hour!)
In that hour I plan to:
Carry on unfucking the mahoosive laundry pile
Empty DD's bookbag
Make beds
Clean loo
General sweep around the whole house putting things away.

This evening, while the dinner is cooking we shall:
Unfuck the Christmas tree and decs
Move the furniture back to where it was
Unfuck one sitting room invisible corner (really, really need to do this!)
Hoover downstairs

That will do for now. Have a good Sunday all!

MrsNouveauRichards · 05/01/2014 09:16

UNFUCKED
One lot of almost dry washing into the tumble
One load of washing in the machine
Dishy on
Sink full of hot soapy water, cleaned up breakfast stuff as soon as I made it, side wiped down
Kids fed

NEXT ON THE UNFUCKING LIST
Get dressed
Make beds
Get kids dressed
Clean loo
Go into town - write list

THEN
Make lunch
Horses (be there a few hours today)
Put chicken in oven, peel potatoes etc...
Christmas stuff
Invisible corner
DD's bookbag, apparently she also needs to make a crown for first day back (helpful)
DD to read some more school book
Eat
Kids bath and bed
Me bath and bed.

Bakerof3pudsxx · 05/01/2014 09:20

Morning unfuckers

This morning I have -

Got 3dc fed
2 are dressed one is being a pita
Emptied the dryer and reloaded
Filled the sink with pots

I need to -

Wash the pots
Sterilise bottles
De clutter kitchen table and work tops
Wipe down table and work tops
Sweep kitchen
Mop kitchen

That will do for this morning I think

13loki · 05/01/2014 11:32

Morning. Following on from my glorious unfucking of the ugly-arse curtains in the stairs and landing, I tried to get the too long curtains down in the childrens living room to wash, dry, then hem. I have completely fucked the curtain rail and broke that in half, and broke the bit that holds the rail up. So that will be another trip to IKEA to get new curtain rails. I will get a new chest of drawers as well, so Ican unfuck the non-maternity clothes that are all in vacuum bags, when they need to be out and ready to be worn.

Unfucked: 1 load of washing off line and put away, 1 load in machine, another 2 loads sorted ready to go in. Dishwasher unpacked and repacked. Kitchen table cleaned off and wiped down.

zinher · 05/01/2014 12:08

Hello everyone

Was supposed to unfuck the bathroom yesterday didn't happen so had to do it today. It was fuckingly disgusting. Took me an hour to unfuck. Also keeping on top of the kitchen and made my bed two days in a row. Hell yeah.

Have to unfuck the hallway and lounge today. Then will be left with bedrooms only to unfuck.

Bakerof3pudsxx · 05/01/2014 18:32

I also need to unfuck my seriously grimey bathroom!
Ditto kitchen

I have had a move around in living room
Cleaned some toys and hoovered
Stripped washed n remade all dcs beds

Plus usual day to day stuff

MrsNouveauRichards · 06/01/2014 08:13

My bathroom is usually the cleanest room in the house, mostly I think because it is quite new, and there is very little clutter (compared to the rest of the house!)

I have come to the conclusion that I like the thrill of 'extreme housework' you know, when you leave the entire house til the very last minute?

I have a friend coming over at 11am and staying for lunch with her two kids. I have slow roasted some squash to turn into soup, and the bread maker has made some fresh bread. (this was yesterday/overnight)

What I need to do/should have done last night/a week ago:
Tidy round the whole shithole of a house
Hoover the whole shithole of a house
Burn down the shithole of a house.

What I am actually going to do is, set a timer for 5mins in every room (well, not our room, I'll just shut the door) and put away what I can.
Then I'll get the horses done
Then home for another round of 5mins and soup blitzing

What can possibly go wrong?

Teladi · 06/01/2014 22:37

We put away the travel system buggy today that my DD is now too big for. Felt a bit emotional about it in a way, as I remember pushing the prams around the pram shop with my big bump and thinking about having a baby to put in it… I am such a loser. It's had 2.5 years of solid use and now it's going in the loft for whoever in my family is next to reproduce.

We now have a unfucked vestibule back, and since you're almost able to swing a cat in there now, sorted out all the coats on the pegs and put some extra shoe storage in there. Most pleasing!

Next on the list is probably my clothes and their storage. Grim. I hate doing that, because I just take them all out and realise how much I hate my clothes, but I hate shopping too and I never know what to buy.

vvviola · 07/01/2014 09:03

Unfucked today:

The laundry area
The fridge

While simultaneously managing not to give in to the urge to sell squabbling children Wink

I also appear to have unfucked my digestive system enough to actually eat my first proper meal in 3 days, so it's all good.

Tomorrow's unfucking goals:
2 bathrooms
The kitchen cupboard

Bakerof3pudsxx · 07/01/2014 09:26

Unfucked today - nothing

Things to unfuck - everything

13loki · 07/01/2014 09:44

Last day of holidays Grin
Tomorrow I have 5 hours of just me and the baby. Bliss. We will sleep, oh, I also have some work that I don't trust others to do well, so I will do it and email it in.

I think really unfucked the leaky dishwasher yesterday. Today will be washing, and hopefully the window ledge that accumulates shit very importantly things that don't have a home, or their home is not within arms reach inaccessible.

I have designated one living room the adult room not as rude as it sounds, and one for the kids. The adult room currently has 2 Ben and Holly play sets on the floor, and 11 soft toys that I can see. DD broke the storage box for B&H toys. That means I must plan another trip to IKEA. with only the baby, the big kids are little shits there

Bakerof3pudsxx · 07/01/2014 09:54

This is my first day at home just me and baby dd since the 20th December!

Sadly she is full of a cold and not sleeping well but will try and make the most of it

zinher · 07/01/2014 12:16

Today I shall unfuck the spare room (where everything I dnt want to deal with gets dumped). Can't see the floor in that room

Bakerof3pudsxx · 07/01/2014 12:40

I want a room for that

Mine all seems to end up on the table

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 07/01/2014 13:54

This morning I unfucked kids' books.
hundreds and hundreds of books.
It really started off as just looking for two library books that need to be returned a week ago.

I found one. DS2 hopefully knows where the other one is.

one shelf bloody collapsed and as i was trying to fix it I cut my finger really hurts.
I sorted it though.

I threw a huge box full of broken & chewed books and ripped pages and made enough space that I can finally add the little drawer units which will house some CDs and boys' tablets and chargers, safe from little toddler fingers.

first day of properly doing stuff - including decluttering - it felt goodSmile

Naptime!

MrsNouveauRichards · 07/01/2014 14:02

Im very impressed with the level of productivity! Here, not so much!

Kids back to school today, so I did get to ride this morning (in the rain, bit you can't have it all!)

1hr til I have to pick up DD, can just about get in 2 x 20/10

Laundry
Unfuck the appliance cupboard
Get ballet bag sorted

MrsNouveauRichards · 07/01/2014 14:27

20mins done,

Unfucked
Appliance cupboard (all the old and temperamental stuff finally went in the bin)
New appliances in the empty (and cleaned) cupboard
Some laundry drying
One work surface cleaned off
Started clearing up duplo

Next
Finish clearing up duplo/bribe DS to do it
Get changed out of riding clothes
Get DS dressed (currently half naked)
Ballet bag for DD packed
Out the house to pick up DD

13loki · 07/01/2014 14:42

Oh. Just realised I need to find DDs gloves for childminders tomorrow. That will be fun.

KateMoose · 07/01/2014 16:57

I love this thread! I cannot believe I haven't seen it earlier (possibly avoiding goodhousekeeping...). I love the website and will get the app later. Today I unfucked the bath and my chest of drawers (with the help of a big black binbag) and put a load of laundry away. I love the tips and cannot believ I did not think of some of them myself.

Tonight- more putting away and hoover downstairs.

MrsNouveauRichards · 07/01/2014 21:23

Evening all.

I have some friends coming over on Thursday evening, and a friend of a friend is coming. Most of my friends really don't mind a bit of 'cosy clutter' but I always feel a little bit self conscious having new people in. So, I'm not going to leave it til an hour before they get here to tidy! (honest) :o

Just going to keep cracking on with the 20/10s and hope things improve.

FaceDirectionOfTravel · 08/01/2014 10:57

I just want to take my whole house and shake it over the tip. I feel completely surrounded by rubbish and tat. I'm not even recycling Shock Blush. I'm just running around with a bin bag stuffing them full and then getting another one. Awful. Tip run later today I think.

MrsNouveauRichards · 08/01/2014 13:17

Face - I think you are doing the right thing. I don't know about you, but the thought of recycling it all to the right places can really slow me up, and often lead to me procrastinating and not even starting it.

Does anyone watch the Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners programme? Some of it is very much channel 4 'freak show' type thing, but it does lead me to wonder how many steps am I from the messy houses!

Going to tackle the kitchen with one 20/10, then some 'invisible corners' with a second 20/10. Oh, and carrying on encouraging the boy to sit on the potty and playing the Rocket game with him (from orchard house toys, best game ever to get a 3yr old boy to sit still!)

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 08/01/2014 14:07

shaking house over a tip is appealing.

I personally want a trap door to swallow up the mess.

or ghosts rearranging things - in an orderly manner. Grin
