new dishwasher has made it to the top of "The List".

We are looking at Miele or Bosch

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Miele.

Ours is 11 years old, still going. IIRC it cost about £500 new back then.

PigletJohn · 31/01/2013 23:19

do you have a budget in mind?

PigletJohn · 31/01/2013 23:19

full-size, free-standing, white, right?

Crikeyblimey · 31/01/2013 23:22

Yep - full size, free standing £450 ish.

Bosch SMS40A02GB £330 77%

Siemens SN26M253GB £515 76%

Bosch SMS65E22GB £414 76%

Miele G4300SC £500 74%

Bosch SMS69L22GB £449 69%

Love my Miele. The cutlery tray gets a bit of getting used to, but once you have the hang of it it's brilliant. You can get so much more on the bottom rack, big pots and things. And so quiet. Had ours for about 5 yrs with no problems at all. Can't remember the model, they tweak them all the time, but very happy.

unluckyfriedkitten · 01/02/2013 08:27

I love ours Miele for the same reasons as the pp's. Whisper quiet, cleans just as good as it did when we bought it 7 years ago and the cutlery tray means I can fit a lot more in it.

Crikeyblimey · 01/02/2013 09:32

Thanks everyone. I'll have a closer look at Miele.

Cheers

Hey Crikeyblimey, just did a search on "which dishwasher" and this thread came up.

Do you mind me asking which one you went for, please? Would you recommend it? Am in the same position as you now!

Thanks Smile

We have an 12 year old bosch which is still going strong. It cost £400 when we bought it.

FWIW - I've found that the fairy platinum tabs are unbeatable - worth the extra money.

chocoluvva · 12/05/2013 17:03

"an" eh, what? Oops Blush

ilovepowerhoop · 12/05/2013 17:26

I have a Bosch Logixx SMS69L02 with a cutlery tray - it is very quiet too. We got it 3 years ago and it is still going strong and we have never had any problems with it.

We have a Fisher & Paykel double dish drawer which I absolutely love. It has two separate drawers which wash independently so if I have guests for dinner I can put pots and pans in one drawer and plates and glasses in the other. The racks come out so it can take grill pans and large casserole dishes etc and if there's just two of us during the week I can run one drawer on its own and there's no build up of dishes. I'd recommend it to anyone.

PoppyWearer · 12/05/2013 20:26

EnvyEnvyEnvy At your Fisher and Paykel. I would love one!

We have an 11-year-old Miele, still going strong.
