Laundry loads - what loads (whites, wools etc) and how many a week do you do?

I'm curious what loads you all separate your laundry into, and how many loads a week do you do?
At present I do one or two whites/towels loads, save up woolens and handwash til there's a load, do DH jeans separate and then do everything else together. Loads and loads and loads of clothes.

I'm considering washing each persons clothes separately which will make putting away easier, but will also make it easier to wash my few items frequently, so I'm not resorting to tracky pants when all my clothes are buried amongst the mountains of everyone elses.

Any other strategies?

I hang it all over the bath (2 airers that perch on the rim of the bath) which takes a day to dry. In summer it goes outside then I forget and leave it overnight to get rained on and shat on by birds

Weekly I do:

1 x whites (DH shirts and any other odd bits of white clothing)
1 x towels
1 x bed sheets
1/2 x darks and brights (I just mix them all up together and seem to have been getting away with it for the last ten years!)

There's me, DH and DS who's 6 months old.

Whites, lights, darks and towels. I used to wash lights and whites together, but separate them now as DD wears white shirts to school and some of the whites were looking a little grey.

There are only three of us so the white sheets go in with the whites and the duvet covers go in with the lights.
