Just nosy really Blush . Mine seem to always gather dust so quickly which for some reason didn't seem to happen at our old house Hmm . It's something that isn't in my regular cleaning routine I just do sporadically, wondering if people generally do this as a routine.

I have a pledge fluffy disposable duster that I use for this just when I'm dusting everything else - takes 2 minutes because it's done weekly. I also use the brush nozzle on my Hoover if I can't be bothered.

Wipe them down? Maybe once a month on a full scale clean.

Flisspaps · 26/04/2012 08:10

In 5.5 years here...never.

CarpeJugulum · 26/04/2012 08:10

Every time we re-decorate Grin

LeeCoakley · 26/04/2012 08:17

I'm in fliss's camp Blush

When I'm on the toilet I notice how grubby they are and think I MUST clean them, then I forget all about it until next time.

LeeCoakley · 26/04/2012 08:18

Haha. Obviously I meant I can see the ones in the bathroom, I can't see those in the rest of the house!

reastie · 26/04/2012 08:20

And I was imagining an open plan loo in your house lee Grin

I've only started doing the wipe downs as I've started "Flying" due to panics about having other mums and kids round for playdates with DS (only 18mo so at the age of hiding behind the couch where I've stuffed the crap!)

I know they probably couldn't care less - but I'm a bit paranoid and always think they'll judge until I learnt they all have a cleaner Hmm

whomovedmychocolate · 26/04/2012 08:27

I do them once a month. House is massive, can't get round to it any more often. If people want to moan about it I hand them a cloth and tell them to get busy.

sharenicely · 26/04/2012 20:37

Er, probably once a year but more likely every 3 years.

surroundedbyblondes · 26/04/2012 21:32

Once a month since my mum sponsored a cleaning lady for us Smile

MarySA · 27/04/2012 16:58

Well not on any kind of regular basis. Once a year at most probably.

reastie · 27/04/2012 17:03

I think I need a cleaning lady please Grin . We moved in here a year ago and alot of rooms haven't been painted or decorated for 20 years plus, so no matter what I do it always looks tatty. I do tend to properly clean the skirting in the rooms we have redecorated more often as at least they look clean Hmm

JeanBodel · 27/04/2012 17:06

I have the same problem, reastie. The house so badly needs redecorating that no matter what I do, it looks a state.

So I do nothing. That way no time is wasted.

MaureenMLove · 27/04/2012 17:08

Once every 6 weeks. Along with tops of cupboards. It's the first thing I do, on the first day of every school holiday.

I sound so perfect, don't I? Fear not, I do jack shit for the six or seven weeks I'm at school! Grin

NeedToSleepZZZ · 27/04/2012 17:11

I dust and polish mine 3 times a week, but then I only have a little flat and a big problem Blush

reastie · 27/04/2012 17:12

Maureen you had me worried when I just read your first sentence there Grin

OP posts:
reastie · 27/04/2012 17:13

I thought you'd be far more frequent than me Wink

reastie=slattern? nope, those two words are incompatible Grin

tittytittyhanghang · 27/04/2012 18:06

WTAF, people clean this shit? Grin
