Changing your bed sheets.

How often do you change your bed sheets? - not the kid's beds, but your own?
A quick straw poll among friends reveals a huge variation from one OCD friend who went through a spell of having clean sheets EVERY DAY to another who (after several glasses of wine!) owned up to about every 3 months! - but she assured us they are clean people and shower daily.
I'm a once a week person.

Weekly, unless I'm feeling overwhelmed and over worked in which case -when I can be bothered. But I aim for weekly and usually succeedGrin

I can't imagine feeling that they need to be changed daily, I feel sorry for your friend.

eggyblackett · 23/04/2012 03:11

Weekly.

I love clean sheets, so if I won the lotto and didn't have to launder them myself I'd change them daily. Until that happens its weekly.

HateBeingCantDoUpMyJeans · 23/04/2012 03:28

eggyblackett that is my Elton John/lottery wish as well Grin

Aim for weekly, also do it if I am completely exhausted cause getting into bed is then a dream. When I stayed in hospital after having ds I gave dh strict instructions about washing tge bedclothes. Hmm can still remember getting into bed. Also done if I have too, use ds have been sick or worse!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 29/04/2012 19:38

Weekly here too. Much longer and it starts to pong!

Bunbaker · 29/04/2012 19:43

Weekly. Anything longer than that is minging.

Rainydayagain · 29/04/2012 19:53

Also on my wish list!! A nice house maid to do that type of stuff. The luxuary of clean fresh sheets yum.

Weely, same day every week.

In the summer i pop the duvet on the line mid week and change the bottom sheet if it has been very hot. ( feels like a fresh bed)

FruitPastillesForever · 29/04/2012 19:54

Once a week.

TooEasilyTempted · 29/04/2012 20:10

Probably every 10 days or so, although this week daily as I've been ill with cold/sore throat and have been sweating loads in bed.

PorkyandBess · 29/04/2012 20:11

Weekly and twice weekly in summer.

DressDownFriday · 29/04/2012 20:12

Mine weekly.
Dc every other week.

CobOnTheCorn · 29/04/2012 20:12

Weekly for me, I love the feel of fresh sheets. I'd love someone to iron them for me just for the sheer decasence.

CobOnTheCorn · 29/04/2012 20:13

Or decadence even!

reastie · 30/04/2012 09:01

Weekly for me too Grin .

Pipsqueak99 · 30/04/2012 09:03

You're supposed to change them???
Blush

startail · 30/04/2012 09:30

When it stops rainingGrin

RoxyRobin · 30/04/2012 09:36

Weekly. It's what my mother and grandmother did so I think it's deeply embedded somewhere. I sometimes rebel and let it go a few extra days but can't relax so it's not worth it.

Anyway, after a week, my side still smells of lavender but DH's smells of wet dog!

CarpeJugulum · 30/04/2012 09:37

Weekly. Occasionally out to maybe a fortnight if life gets in the way - usually a sick DS which is making lots of washing.

Love a clean bed and get very Angry if DH gets in before me Blush

bronze · 30/04/2012 09:37

Normally weekly

imnotmymum · 30/04/2012 09:38

every other day. kids once a week.

RoxyRobin · 30/04/2012 09:39

You are putting us all to shame, mymum.

takeonboard · 30/04/2012 09:39

Usually weekly

MousyMouse · 30/04/2012 09:41

weekly to fortnightly depending how sweaty we have been Wink
lots of airing in between.

Ramekin · 30/04/2012 09:42

Weekly too. I love clean, ironed sheets on a Sunday night, a great way to start the week.

AnonymousBird · 30/04/2012 09:47

Every ten days. Though sometimes I do the pillow cases and bottom sheet more frequently as so quick and easy to wash/dry/change in between.

DC every ten days in between our ten days IYSWIM.

The prospect of doing all the beds every week is rather depressing, but ideally I should do and would like to!
