How much do you pay for your windows being cleaned?

Outsides only. I pay £13 for a 4 bed house- 9 rooms in total I think, plus 2 doors- every 5-6 weeks.

I live SE north of London- Home Counties.

I feel this is quite £££ but am not sure. My biggest issue is that I don't really need them cleaning as often as they turn up. They don't do the sills and it takes 2 of them about 10 minutes!

Anyone else?

£20 SE England for a 3 bed semi- we are so overpaying!

mummylin2495 · 09/09/2013 17:21

£15 for all outside windows including a conservatory. He comes once every two months. They do clean the sills.

KatieScarlett2833 · 09/09/2013 17:25

4 Bed Det with sodding awkward dormers and a patio door.
£7.50 and I have them done once a fortnight.
I'm a sucker for shiny windows Smile

Thanks Trumpington!

cheryl19843 · 09/09/2013 20:42

£4 for 3 bed semi once a month. North east.

LynetteScavo · 09/09/2013 20:56

I pay £8 for 8 windows, but have them done bi-monthly.

Thank you Neil for your post!

TodaysAGoodDay · 09/09/2013 21:07

£2.50 a month, 3 windows and a front door, but we're up in deepest, darkest Cumbria so it's probably the cheaper end of the country.

lovelyredwine · 09/09/2013 21:10

£5 - Up north. 4 bed house.

OneStepCloser · 09/09/2013 21:19

I dont have them in London, but am moving out soon so am sadly really looking forward to having a Window Cleaner Grin Neils post gave really interesting food for thought.

Daisybell1 · 09/09/2013 21:20

In Cumbria too Todays and ours are £10. But then I've got those blooming little panes which takes forever to work through.

babyboomersrock · 09/09/2013 21:30

In Scotland - rural village in Fife - we have 10 windows plus patio doors, and last time he was here, he apologised for putting the price up to £5.30.

I think it's brilliant value and they work really efficiently. We do give them a Christmas bonus.

TarkaTheOtter · 11/09/2013 20:05

£15 for 8 windows, front door and patio doors in rural West country. Is quarterly though so works out at only £60 a year.

jennymac · 13/09/2013 09:17

We recently paid £28 for our windows. Rural setting but quite modern new build with larger than average windows. Not huge house though - only 4 bedrooms. I told dh that we would do with them being done every 3 months at that price. Am happy to do the kitchen windows and any others that look really bad in the intervening periods.

Front door, porch, 7 large windows and triple french doors, £10. We're in East of England.

everydayaschoolday · 30/10/2014 00:18

£11 Lincolnshire - 9 windows and a conservatory (not roof)

They visit every 4 weeks and takes about 10-15 mins.

lavendersun · 30/10/2014 07:16

£20, every month 19 windows plus a fairly big conservatory, outside only.

I don't mind the cost because I would never do them myself and only manage inside every other month on average and the inside of the conservatory once a year!

KatharineClifton · 30/10/2014 07:26

£8 for 8 windows, all the sills and 2 doors. Supposed to be monthly but is always longer than this. Takes about ten minutes (but obviously that doesn't include driving to me, equipping the van etc). Live coastal N Wales. If I didn't pay a window cleaner the windows would never be cleaned. It makes such a difference, especially in winter, when previously I couldn't see out the windows for salt smeared all over them.

ThatBloodyWoman · 30/10/2014 07:32

£5 for 7 windows and 2 doors.

Chottie · 31/10/2014 01:45

16 windows, 3 doors, 1 bifold door SE London £23.00

Fontella · 31/10/2014 07:04

£12.50, and he comes every two months.

8 windows - 4 front, 4 back.

He's got a sort of brush/hose/water thingy and also does the sills, surrounds, fascias, doors etc.

pinkfrocks · 02/11/2014 13:40

£12 for 5 back, 2 doors and 4 front. Every 2 months SE.
Could come monthly but don't need that.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 11/11/2014 12:31

We have 7 windows, front door and back patio doors. £8 every month. We're

SqueezyCheeseWeasel · 11/11/2014 12:39
