Best dishwasher?

Looking for a new one. Must have a delay setting and be reasonably fast, e.g. our current one, which came with the house can't do anything in less than 100 minutes!! And now it can't do anything, it's an Electrolux Dishlex. By way of contrast, in our last rental, the Bosch could do a full load in 25, perfect every time. But I can't remember the model.

Any suggestions?

We have had our Meile for nearly 10 years and still going strong so worth the money. Bosch would be my choice if money couldn't stretch to replace it.

Our Bosch has just died after 4 years and is proving impossible / uneconomic to repair. Wouldn't bother with Bosch again. Could have got a basic Miele for the price of our top-end Bosch.

that's odd, what was the fault?

It's not taking in any water. The repair man has no idea! Valves checked, control board replaced but still not working.

Was he a BSG mender? They do a fixed-price repair or a 1-year repair and warranty scheme.

Well, bought a Bosch with some number or other. Very quiet on the test drive. Let's see how it does on a full load

I have a Siemens stainless steel one - it's v efficient and as quiet as a mouse.
I got it for £550 from a comet clearance place in Glasgow. About £800 brand new. Brilliant
Machine and looks beautiful. Control panel on top of door so seamless!

Superb machine. Does the full load in less then 30 minutes. I had to press my ear to the door to hear it working.

I'm in need of a new dishwasher as ours is over 12yrs old and is falling to pieces now. Reading this thread I noticed PigletJohn posted a few of the Which best buys back in 2012 I was wondering if he's still about and able to offer up some more recent recommendations?

Our last one was so noisy and this was the quietest we could find (38dB).
