Lovely towels!

Our bathroom should be done in time for christmas and I want some lovely white towels for grown ups. My friend had some white company ones which are lovely and thick, but even with the 15% discount on at the mo, it would be 130 ish for a set of 2x sheets, towels and hand towels.
So are there any others that are just as good in quality? Our should I just suck it up and spend the cash?

Dunelm do nice towels, and iirc they are in a range of colours including white.

Maybe not as nice as the White Co, but still big and fluffy Wink

Suck it up and buy the good ones. Grin

Have you got a Costco card? There are some fabulous ones there

PippiL · 09/12/2011 12:54

TooEasilyTempted - your name says it all!

No Costco card I'm afraid.

I've looked on places like John Lewis, but the good ones are the same or even more expensive and some of the slightly cheaper ones get mixed reviews.

Waiting for January Whitecompany sale!

I did one of my relatives feet recently and she handed me a towel that was the softest thing ever. I cannot tell you how soft, thick and just generally fab it was.

Bought in primark! Totally gutted my christy towels that we could only afford because they were water damaged are nowhere near as soft.

The white company sale will start around boxing day, you have to get in quick, if you have a nectar card shop via the nectar site and you get nectar points too.

I got some fab towels in TKMaxx, Christy ones. Worth checking out!

madmomma · 09/12/2011 21:22

Gosh primark towels? Will have to investigate.

Mandy2003 · 11/12/2011 15:50

I'm sure you won't regret buying the expensive ones as they will last a lifetime and even get passed on as heirlooms. Really, I have some towels that were passed down from my grandparents and they are still going strong. Mind you, they did spend most of their formative years being sent to a laundry for a "proper" wash!

dizzyday07 · 11/12/2011 16:46

We were given some from Debenhams when we got married 10 years ago and they are still going strong

oreocrumbs · 11/12/2011 23:28

We have twww.bhs.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/bhsstore/191355 BHS towels and 3 years down the line they are still very thick and fluffy, and they are on offer at the moment! Xmas Smile

Achica have a deal on towels at the moment, I think.

You have to register to be a user and take advantage of their deals, but it's just a short online form and then you are straight through.

bhs oops Xmas Blush

Christy ones are fab, I've found. They always seem to be in the sale in department stores like House of Fraser, debenhams and John Lewis. I have been lucky in the past and found them in TK Maxx too. And Christy does its own sales (they have a website, and they deliver) from time to time.
