home Henry or commercial Henry?

I sent my Husband out to get a Henry hoover.

Why am I disappointed that it does not have the name Henry written on it? [blush) but instead numatic.

Seems we have the commercial model. Has longer lead and a skirt

Am I wrong to be disappointed???

i would be disappointed too if i thought i was getting henry and his lovely face and just got 'numatic' instead. can he change it?

BooyFuckingHoo · 19/02/2011 19:51

my henry makes me want to hoover, the last hoover just didn't inspire me enough Grin

1legmummy · 19/02/2011 19:54

He thinks I am absolutely nuts - it does have the face, just not the name.

I know what you mean - he speeds along behind me.

I am trying to talk myself out of taking him back and buying a Henry with a name Grin

well if it helps, mine isn't the red henry either. he is the green henry hound with the numatic attatchment so he is a bit industrial looking but i love him! Grin he just lifts all those doggy hairs right up with no complaints.

1legmummy · 19/02/2011 19:59

it does help!!!! how ridiculous am I?

I think its cause I eventually won the Henry fight and was not expecting the word numatic instead of Henry.

I seems to be the same but with longer lead

1legmummy · 19/02/2011 20:56

Could you paint the word Henry on him? I think he would like it.

Use nail varnish.

1legmummy · 20/02/2011 11:59

pippop1 - you have just given him a heart Grin

I cant take him back,he will be made part of the family, in my house the fact he is industrial will probably help - I am going to paint his name on with nail varnish and love him.

Grin this thread has made me giggle.

I have an industrial Henry too, and am happy to see that I'm not the only one saddened by the lack of 'Henry' on it.

All is forgiven though, because I can plug noHenry Henry in the plug in the hall, and hoover the car without the need for any extention leads.
And I can also hoover 2 flights of stairs from the same plug!

Take pity on the poor fella, s'not his fault he's the Pinocchio of the vacuum cleaner world Wink

loola2shus · 20/02/2011 12:18

Love this thread Grin

My Henry is now an old man missing a wheel ... but he still soldiers on Wink

I feel Sad that Hettie has never moved in to make him comfortable in his old age, he must be lonely Sad

itshappenedagain · 20/02/2011 14:10

indutrial henry in this house is called nuvvy ( named by ds).
we love him in this house...and when i first got him there were fights over whos turn it was to use him! again tha abliity to do lot of stair cleaning and no having to switch plug sockets every 5 minutes is a bonus! mine is one of the old style ones...so we bought eyes for him! Blush

pippop1 · 20/02/2011 14:42

1leg, you could paint a heart on him with the nail varnish too. Awww.

1legmummy · 20/02/2011 15:16

yes, yes, yes Grin

Thank you for helping me welcome my poor Henry and realising that him being different actually makes him more lovable - a bit like me Wink

I now know we have many wonderful years to look forward to without having to keep unplugging him

Will now be thinking of his nailvarnish name design with heart of course!!

I love my Numatic Henry after 7 years of the crappy Dyson.

Definately needs a bit of decoration though.

thebountymuncher · 20/02/2011 15:45

Have a pic of mine on my profile- see it multitasks, acts as a babysitter too! NannyNumie Grin

BooyFuckingHoo · 20/02/2011 16:22

aww, numatic henry doesn't actually look as industrial as i expected him to. he still looks perfectly happy!

1legmummy · 20/02/2011 18:02

he is happy - just no name, so that is very easy to fix.

I am going to write to numatic and ask them for a Henry sticker - they can only say no Grin

I love my Henry - babysitting services

I love my Hetty too. She's always got a smile on her face Smile.

When I'm pulling her along when I hoover I say "come on Hetty" Grin.

PorkChopSter · 21/02/2011 09:11
