home Henry or commercial Henry?

I sent my Husband out to get a Henry hoover.

Why am I disappointed that it does not have the name Henry written on it? [blush) but instead numatic.

Seems we have the commercial model. Has longer lead and a skirt

Am I wrong to be disappointed???

I too have crappy Dyson and now fancy a Henry/Hettie/Numatic.

Do I have to change bags etc? Blurgh...

earwicga · 21/02/2011 16:17

Maryz - I got mine from an industrial cleaning company that I found via google. Was cheaper than shops. I only have carpet on stairs and landing.

barbie - yes, it has bags - really big ones, which is much better than looking at the dirt in the crappy Dyson.

barbieisaskinnybitch · 21/02/2011 16:39

earwicga - can you remember the name of the website? thankies :)

earwicga · 21/02/2011 16:49

www.onestopcleaningshop.co.uk/

But it might not be the cheapest now. Very fast delivery.

barbieisaskinnybitch · 21/02/2011 18:26

Ooh so much choice - even a James!

earwicga · 21/02/2011 18:26

Did you see the ride-ons? They are fab :)

barbieisaskinnybitch · 21/02/2011 18:31

I'm Blush at how excited I am!

So you think a numatic with long lead is the way to go? ...

Think the rideons are for kiddies to play with.

The Henry has a 10m lead, the numatic has a 12.5m lead (and a skirt).

I'm still researching!

Grumpla · 21/02/2011 18:56

Glad it's not just me who talks to their Henry Blush

I got a tiny desktop Hetty for Xmas, she keeps me company at work although I have to admit she is not particularly effective...

How funny - you all carried on without me.

We got our industrial Henry from B & Q it was £94.00.

To make sure you are getting the correct one it has numatic international written all over the box.

maryz - I have just wooden floors, no carpet.

as far as I can see the differences are:-

No Henry name - numatic written instead

longer lead

skirt round to protect from bumpos

So if you look at it like that - seems better, but it did seem sad not to see his name when I lifted him out of the box.

Now I love him lots, he is super Henry and I am going to write his name on him somewhere

I can hoover the whole of my bungalow just plaugging him in once and it will reach across the drive to clean the car too Grin

Only if you want something similar back Maryz :)

barbieisaskinnybitch · 22/02/2011 11:51

Is the Henry Hound worth the double-cost of normal/numatic Henry? Can anyone help? I hanker for a red henry but fear with 3 woofers I'd be better with a green henry hound.

Oh God I'm thinking about this way too much!!

Henry is fab!
I bought my Henry plus when I got my old dog 12 years ago for £130, its still going strong.
When he sadly passes on I will get another.

1legmummy · 22/02/2011 14:28

We have 3 dogs and a cat and hard floors - my biggest bug was hairs round skirting

Henry has sorted them for me. The suction is really strong or you can have it on the lower suction for crumbs etc.

Lets set up a Henry club Grin

earwicga · 22/02/2011 16:00

MaryZ - you are welcome to come round to mine to test out Henry. Come every week if you like Grin

I can't believe I am liking the Henry Club idea, but after 8 years of the overpriced shitty piece of crap of the bastard Dyson it's such a relief to hoover with something that works.

barbieisaskinnybitch · 22/02/2011 16:28

lol at "the bastard Dyson"
Could.Not.Agree.More!
I'm still humming and haaing about a henry hound though.
I can't make decisions - someone else do it for me please!

mamasmissionimpossible · 22/02/2011 16:55

My dd (3) likes to kiss our henry 'night night' when he goes back in the cupboard. He has a personality all of his own!

peachybums · 23/02/2011 15:04

OOO we talk to henry too, the girls shouts 'Henry where are you?' when i say its time to hoover, i swear at him sometimes when he gets stuck on the safety gate and i always say 'lets wind you up then henry' when its time to put him away!

we're not mental.....honest!
