new to board - please help

hi there I have been lurking on here for a few weeks and been picking up tips and advice. I just need to ask a few questions. How do the fly threads work, and what is a slatterny house? I tried the fly lady thing a few years ago but all the emails got a little overwhelming. I just need a little motivation to do my housework to be more organised.

Flylady, you dont need the emails, so change it to no emails and remove that pressure from your self.

The Flybabies/ fledgling flyers start a new thread every month and do all 31 baby steps together and they are lovely and know everything.

Then there are the list makers/ slatterns who are further along and (I think) just like to post their lists & chat lots and are also fab and very knowledgable

Then there was a new school year thread too which is still going but must almost be at capacity

If you want to jump in somewhere I would suggest the December thread http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/good_housekeeping/1095396-Decembers-Fledgling-Flyers-Christmas-time-swish-and-swipe-and-wine-flyers-sing-to-the-fat-fairy-rhyme here which will run now to the end of the month with the baby-steps then start again in January, by which time you will understand some of it already and feel able to jump straight in in January

Come and join us on the fledgling flier thread as dtg suggests. We do flylady babysteps to get you going but without the nauseating amount of emails, just what you need, no need to sign up to flylady at all!

Must admit to being a bit off routine of late so have started to peak at my control journal again and am planning to get properly back flying in the new year- so you might see me on the January thread too if thats ok?
