wendyhappysmile · 13/09/2010 11:18

Hi all
thanks for the link dyls
My bathroom needs work so better do the mission! need to to reintroduce swish and swipe, since our hols my routines are all to pot! I need babysteps I think.

Had my hair cut and coloured, looks great! (until swimmining tomorrow Angry) Taken the whole morning though.

Gym joey this afternoon then making lions from paper plates when DS home from school. We went to the zoo yesterday. Bad tempered day all round, DH and I both shattered, children very grumpy and demanding. Got better after a big blow up from me Sad

Oh well, try to be a better Mum today.

So no lists of achievements then? Mine are few:
Made giant tree with DC glueing on fallen autumn leaves
painted paper plates yellow for lions tomorrow!
made tomato sauce for pasta from greenhouse tomtoes (at last ripening)
Calmed and sorted DS after someone else took his school bag home - drove to her childminder's house to get it! Honestly
house is still a tip!

So not much of a list really but haven't shouted or done anything remotely bad mother-ish today. hurrah!

See you all tomorrow

scattyspice · 13/09/2010 18:44

Hi all.

ruby I like mondays for the same reason Smile.
wendy I always have a bad day at zoos/safari parks etc. They are designed to bring out the worst in young children (and their parents!) Angry.

dyl, swan and reality thanks again for your kind (rational) thoughts on dyspraxia. Having looked into it I think I too have dyspraxic tendancies. I have concluded that dyspraxia is in fact quite common even normal and nothing to worry about Smile.

Done;
laundry

oh dear must try harder.

...................Quick Grouchy Wave.....Hello, I've missed you, can I please pop back?

..........................scarpers quick

dylsmum1998 · 13/09/2010 20:02

Ruby Grin I love your list looks far more interesting than mine!

have been to uni- am now feeling VVV scared! I am going to need to be super organised this year, so not easy when you are scatty as hell!

Today I have done;
made all pack lunches
breakfast
shower all
wash up
dd to school
tidy through downstairs
make beds
hoover
s&s bathrooms
take spare key to dd's dads house
read dd's school books with her
helped dd feed her hamster
load washer
wash up dinner things
dinner

am now preparing tomorrows dinner for dc. So all dd's dad needs to do is put it in oven and dish, however I suspect ds will do it under supervision. I didn't et in til 6.15. So late and looks like it will be the same all week. Looking at my draft time table on uni weeks I'll have 2 late ones, the others not so late. But this won't be confirmed til end of the week Hmm

Off to find the readings I need to do now

Doh!

Only just registered I've been posting on the wrong week all dayBlush
thanks Dylsmum.

Will try again tomorrow...

realitychick · 15/09/2010 00:37

Still sort of Tuesday.

Today I scrubbed the kitchen cupboards (last week's mission I know)
Hoovered and mopped kitchen floor and hall
cleaned glass cabinet inside and out.
Cleaned downstairs loo and upstairs basin
Made beds/breakfast/packed lunches/dishwasher loaded
Wrote two reports for work
was working from home tonight while DH out partying so can't really claim to have made fish fingers and oven chips for tea.
Did some extra homework with the kids.
Propped up drunken and morose DH who came home having a mid life crisis.
Changed DS who'd wet the bed.

LauraNorder · 15/09/2010 09:31

Have found you all!

Ok so I start today, babysteps I know. Going to go and shine my sink now Smile

I have tried this a few times now and FAILED Sad I am going to give it a really good go this time though, fed up of CHAOS - driving me nuts!

swanriver · 15/09/2010 09:39

Reality - been there, done that, got the teeshirt! (not the housework, just the morose bit and the sheets Grin
well done on such a productive day

yest was very unproductive..creative cooking seems to create far too much mess and distracts me from serious boring jobs
however have made supper for tonight already Grin yest

done
rubbish out
chores done with kids, practice etc, teeth, stars galore
hung out laundry
some upstairs

todo
recycling first
then piano
then paperwork
then ironing
then some more cooking? soup, scones, carrot cake

Grouchy hopeyou alright, it is lovely to see you, hope new term is going well, and you are not working too hard on different jobs

swanriver · 15/09/2010 09:41

Laura I shined my sink last night, it made a big difference. I had to force myself to though, I really couldn't be bothered, not motivated at all..

swanriver · 15/09/2010 10:26

done
recycling all out - enormous quantities due to purge last week
kept on top of hall mess
swept kitchen floor/tidied breakfast away
washed doormat
swept front step
shook out front door mat
tackled garden again - dh has this penchant for chopping things up and then just leaving heaps of branches everywhere - I've realised there are two types of men: those who love their beautifully ordered woodpiles, those who just like the chopping bit

DD enjoyed dance class again tonight. She has the uniform now and loves it. DS enjoyed the one to one time with me whilst she is in there.

DH at ikea buying new drawers for DD so the baby can have hers ... they were bought for DS when he was born as they are just the right size/height for changing at during the early days. 30 weeks this week! Shock
