We have 4 winter tog duvets,no designated place to go, just folded up and moved from place to place. Please inspire me with some ideas where and how you keep them nice and tidy!

Blanket box at end of bed is where we keep a couple.

Lemonylemon · 19/07/2010 14:39

I keep my in the loft in those vaccuum bags which cost £1 each from Poundland.

KnitterNotTwitter · 19/07/2010 14:41

In vacuum bags in a cupboard

Yellowflowers · 19/07/2010 15:01

I am so pleased you have posted this. Ours are over the bannister at the moment getting in the way.

mustrunmore · 19/07/2010 15:02

Errr, our duvets are our duvets all year round. We just get a blanket out of the linen cupboard in winter?!

Seona1973 · 19/07/2010 15:40

ours are in a bin bag in the loft

LauraNorder · 19/07/2010 15:41

Under the bed they belong to. A couple are in vac bags.

happilyeverafter · 19/07/2010 17:23

I have a couple of cotton storage bags from White Co. and they go into these for summer in the top of the wardrobe.

Hai1988 · 19/07/2010 18:31

Thank you mustrinmore i thought i was very strange until ur post

Shaz10 · 19/07/2010 18:33

Another one for only one duvet, then a blanket in the winter.

MummyDoIt · 19/07/2010 18:33

Still on the bed! I use the same one all year round. Kick it off or just use a sheet if it's hot, have a hot water bottle if it's too cold.

nowwearefour · 19/07/2010 18:34

thanks for the reminder- still at the dry cleaners!

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 19/07/2010 18:34

Don't have "summer duvets". Just kick the winter duvet off, and sleep with no clothes on.

4plus1 · 19/07/2010 19:35

The biggest of ikea's plastic storage boxes fits a kingsize quilt, mine fits in the bottom of press

AnnoyingOrange · 19/07/2010 19:37

We have some in the airing cupboard and some in the top shelf of the wardrobe

Fibilou · 19/07/2010 19:42

Vacpacked in the under-eaves storage

Fibilou · 19/07/2010 19:43

Lemony, do they sell them all the time ? I have never seen them in there. What's the quality like ?

FindingMyMojo · 19/07/2010 19:43

they were vacupacked for a while. Now they are in suitcase under the bed.

expatinscotland · 19/07/2010 19:44

Vacuum packed under the beds (drawers in the divans).

roundthebend4 · 19/07/2010 19:46

packe din top of the wardrobes , we have winter ones as gets cold here ,

Scuttlebutter · 23/07/2010 21:59

Winter one up in the loft. Lighter weight one now in spare bedroom. DH now mutinous and sulking - wants it back. I like having very lightweight sheet and bedspread in warmest summer nights. Will probably put light duvet back on for next bed change as weather has now got cooler and damper. Humph...

Lemonylemon · 26/07/2010 12:58

Fibilou If they're packed right and you've managed to seal down the runner at the top, they stay flat. I can't manage that, so they get vaccuumed, put up in the loft, and then expand at their leisure . Doesn't bother me, as I've got space in the loft.

I don't know if Poundland sells them all the time, I think they do.

MiaWallace · 26/07/2010 13:01

I place the duvet under the bed sheet. Makes the bed extra comfy.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 26/07/2010 13:38

Vac-packed with labels inside the bags that are visible on the outside so that I know what is in each bag. We store our winter duvets plus spare duvets and pillows this way and they take up so little room - they are at the back of the over-stair cupboard.

I have been chilly the last couple of nights though and am seriously contemplating digging out the winter duvet again!

flibbertigibbert · 26/07/2010 20:59

I have my duvet on the bed still. But I also have an empty duvet cover underneath it so I can fling off the duvet if it gets too hot and just have the duvet cover.

Like the sound of MiaWallace's idea.
