We have 4 winter tog duvets,no designated place to go, just folded up and moved from place to place. Please inspire me with some ideas where and how you keep them nice and tidy!

In a very large bag in the corner of the bedroom , but it has been cleaned

hormonesnomore · 26/07/2010 21:46

In the bin.

I have a brand new one, all tightly and neatly rolled in its bag in the wardrobe waiting for winter.

I used to store mine in the attic in vacuum packed bag as others have said. However this year when I put the summer duvet on I decided to just chuck the winter one away and get a new one come September or whenever we need it.

Then I will chuck the summer one and buy new in the Spring.

I should point out that I don't spend masses on duvets I just buy the supermarket own ones for about a tenner each time.

On the bed. Just have a light weight one anyway. Take it off when I go to bed and have a top sheet under it. Easier to wash sheets more often than duvet.

I don't have a winter duvet - we only have summer ones, that we use year round.

ChippingIn · 29/07/2010 17:58

In a large stripey bag (you know the cheap market zip up sort) as I think it's better for it not to be squished up - in the loft.

MrsJohnDeere - by the time your DH gets around to it, it will be time to get them out again! Any mitigating circumstances which mean you can't put them up there?!

Fibilou - poundland near us had them in the other day. I had to brave it to get some more storage boxes to match the ones we already have - it was school holiday hell!
