Help me style my hallway

(Please excuse the clutter on the stairs)

I bought the console table, mirror and rug new today wanting to restyle my hallway. I like it, but feel that it's missing something. It doesn't have the wow factor I saw in my head when purchasing the items and picturing it all together. It feels a bit too simple, or bare, or maybe the console table is wrong. Can someone suggest something that might help please?

And as someone said a bowl for keys and crap as we call it!

What’s the light fitting like in your hallway? If you could find a feature light shade that would pep up the area without adding what could become clutter. It might also be reflected in your lovely mirror
