What do you have on the walls in the bedroom?

My bedroom is painted white and all my bed linen is blue and white, the floor pale wood, pine bed, white chest of drawers. I've a couple of pictures of the sea in the walls, but am a bit bored with them and would like to do something a bit more imaginative without it looking cluttered.

I don't want to paint another colour, just wondering what I can put on the walls other than the boring pictures I have at the moment. I still want to room to be calming.
Any ideas? Any pics of your rooms?

I have a feature wall of wallpaper with birds of paradise - love it.

I have a clock, a mirror, a painting of our favourite Italian city, a large framed poster of every yoga pose, an antique barometer and 2 large Tamara de Lempicka pictures.

Dark blue with silver accents wallpaper on wall paper. Light grey on the other walls .

Some synthetic wall plants hung at angles- they're okay, break it up against the white, under a wall shelf with some pretty novels and a wicker basket

Nothing too exciting
Few pictures, some heart sticker things, giant mirror and perfume shelf

A tv! Other than that, the wall behind the bed is dark and panelled and have 2 lights on, but nothing else on any of the walls.
I like blank space!!

Better art? I have a large print I bought at the local art school's degree show a few years ago above the bed, and a small oil between the windows, and another over the chest of drawers.

But I think you need to bide your time and seek out things you actually like if you want more interesting art -- local galleries and exhibition spaces, local art school shows etc.

A friend of mine paints her own abstract canvases to put on her walls -- just blocks of flat colour.

My walls are beige because it’s a rental, so I can’t change the paint (probably could as my landlord is lovely, but I’ve just spent an astronomical amount on my car to get it through the MOT so not right now!)

I have ceramic hares on my wall by my very talented friend https://www.sarahrickard.co.uk (on her homepage) as well as a teal bedspread with a woodland scene on it (including hares) and a matching velvet shell chair from Dunelm. Then everything else is just stripped back pine and a couple of animal lamps - golden hare (what a surprise!) and a raven. I love it!

I have lots of colourful art and a framed cross stitch that my late mother made for me. I have to get my plant holders up so I can put my houseplants in them.

I know you said you dont want paint but i think thats the only way to go🙈

While i took this pic about the dog i think the paint and pictures are what makes it, the pics wouldnt work alone

We panelled the wall behind our bed and painted it navy blue. We've got dark wood furniture and brass accents like lamps, mirrors and a French horn 😂

Our room is otherwise white walls and large and airy so it works!

We have a large canvas of our wedding above our bed, two shelf’s on other walls like one attached tv and some tiles that were given to us as a wedding gift. The shelf’s weren’t the colour I wanted but were the size and style, I’d been looking for ages so got them. Our wedding picture has a lot of colour as it’s taken outside with lots of summer flowers in bloom.

our wardrobe has mirrored doors other wise I’d like a nice big gilt framed mirror I think.

I'd love a huge mirror, maybe I need to invest. I thought about painting the wall behind the bed pale blue, I don't want to go darker than that.

I definitely don't want to rush into buying something. I'm in a low budget, so need to think it through. The pics up now I've had for ages.

Her stuff is so gorgeous - they just make me so happy when I wake up in the morning! Of course what you can’t see on her website is when one of her cat floofballs go into her workshop and roll around on her templates and she has to ditch the batch! 🙀

Indeed, she’s a big black floof and her fur stands out on white ceramics strangely! But she loves being in the workshop. Can’t get her out of there unless it’s bedtime!
