What do you have on the walls in the bedroom?

My bedroom is painted white and all my bed linen is blue and white, the floor pale wood, pine bed, white chest of drawers. I've a couple of pictures of the sea in the walls, but am a bit bored with them and would like to do something a bit more imaginative without it looking cluttered.

I don't want to paint another colour, just wondering what I can put on the walls other than the boring pictures I have at the moment. I still want to room to be calming.
Any ideas? Any pics of your rooms?

He really is, got to love a tuxedo, they are beautiful! Here’s Harry pretending to be a Jedi. He does NOT like windy weather, they give him the zoomies or the angries!

Tuxedoes are always so dapper, your Harry included of course. He’s lovely.

Similarly Mr G (G is for Geralt, but also for Gangster as he has that tuxie swagger) cannot stand windy weather. He doesn’t like his fur getting ruffled.

They also concur on the benefits of blankies by the way.

Walls are mainly a pale green, one wall in a green floral birds type wallpaper, I have Jess de wahls flovaries on the bed head wall, plenty of colour in linens and soft furnishings , a few framed photos on shelves, bookcase, dressing table with a large oval mirror etc

And this is my bedside table right now (currently lying on the bed typing this). Apologies for lack of ironing but life is too short for ironing bed linen.

Aw thanks! The more velvet-like the better, he is definitely a soft furnishings fellow!

Oh yeah, know all about the tuxie swagger… and sense of outrage when you giggle at it…

It is ALL about the fur ruffling, fine on the sofa when it’s your hand doing the ruffling and you’ve done it ALL the way through the Life of Brian last weekend (because indignant looks when you stopped for a second because your hand was aching) but a bit of breeze and… the world has ended… give me Dreamies and wrap me up… including tucking in my tail please because I am being a big black and white baby!

White walls here though I fancy a bold feature wall soon ...
Currently have a large seascape canvas over the bed, a large pop art print on one wall and a kitsch print of a saucy lady playing card on the other 😁.

Absolutley loves tuckins. But the blankie is has to be pink. He is very particular about the colour of his blankies.

Yes tuckins are the best but, as you say, blankie has to be the right one. It’s a very precise cat science.

Lemon walls

Get yourself some longer curtains in a lush fabric. Something thick, colourful & generous.

Charity shops can be great for curtains. Mine bedroom curtains are big thick cotton fabric with a woven pattern. They look luxurious, are lined & fab & cost me £10.

In my room I have 3 framed prints, a small double shelf with some small nick nacks I like (various animals from my travels), a narrow wall leaning book shelf with books, beaded necklaces hanging down the sides & pot plants, a small picture shelf with various prints etc I change as I please.

An original painting of peonies that DH bought back from China for me it’s on silk and rolls up as a scroll. It’s about 1.5ft wide and 6.5 ft long. I bought a similar one that has bamboo on but is smaller.

We have one wallpapered wall (white background with patterned damask) and then an old fireplace (pretty detail and I painted it off white) with a mirror above

on other side a large mirror and on the back wall a painting of columbine flowers I got at a fair

Mostly spiders, I'm afraid... 🕷 The little beasties seem to love my bedroom, and I love them too much to evict them...

Hahaha I have a pet spider, I assume he lives in a crack somewhere, but he comes out dose a few lapse of my ceiling then disappears until next time. I’ve had to keep him secret from DH who’s terrified of them.
