As per the title! I'm looking for a dusky pink, and out of 5 testers, all are wrong! Please can someone recommend one and show it to me on your walls? The ones on my wall look NOTHING like the flaming test cards 🥴. It needs to be painted tomorrow!!!! Carpets coming on Monday morning 🙈.
Thank you!!!

Have you tried French chic dusky blush? We have a lot of F&B and LG but this paint was much easier to work with and was just the shade we were looking for.

Wish I'd seen this thread before we painted my dd bedroom! We were looking for the perfect dusty pink for ages but they were all either too candy floss pink or too dark, so in the end we went with a boring but safer beige colour.

F&B calamine isn’t the colour you’ve posted, I’d suggest Nancy’s blushes

I've this colour in my north facing living room and love it.

Farrow & Ball Peignoir is a dusky pink shade with lilac undertones, very pretty and unusual.

Also, a more traditional "muted not bubblegum" pale pink which is a good all-rounder (and a good price) is Deluxe Blush Pink.

I've just done my whole hallway and landing in this one. Photos are from first coat only with a bit of extra white filler still waiting to be covered with second coat but it looks amazing.

Dulux pressed petal - it's very dusky and not barbie pink or purple

In the end, unicorn horn by valspar! I'm not fully happy with the room yet, but here's a pic as it currently is.

Love this! I’m looking at a pink for my bedroom, but it’s north facing and surprisingly difficult. A sugary pink seems to have blue tones that makes everything look cold, but the warmer tones can look a bit orangey. The best one I’ve found is Little Greene peach blossom but i was hoping to avoid using such a premium and expensive paint. The search continues.

BertieBotts · 11/02/2024 10:05

Oh, lovely! I think that shade is more sugar pink than dusky pink, which might have been why you were struggling to find the right shade :)

Try Hellebore by Little Greene

Seconded- lovely colour.

I ended up going with Johnsons ballet slipper in my bathroom, which is north facing. Although it needs repainting with a mid sheen or bathroom paint as matt just doesn't work in there (and ballet slipper only comes in silk or matt so I'll get a colour match in mid sheen). But the colour looks great, and is actually one of the testers I tried in SD's room which SD hated because it looked lilac (it did!).

It’s really lovely and that colour is gorgeous

Candleabra · 12/02/2024 20:05

That’s really nice

LittleRebelGirl · 12/02/2024 20:24

I really wanted to go for black fittings, as I think it would have set it off really nicely. But I've read of so many people having trouble with them chipping - which would drive me crazy! So I had to settle for chrome.
It isn't finished yet. I haven't found the accessories/mirror/shelving I want. I want to bring more pink in, and more plants. My lovely cabinet that we brought from our old house (moved here in sept) didn't fit by 0.5cm thanks to the tiles 🤦‍♀️. I'm off for half term next week, so finishing touches is on the list along with repainting in mid sheen!
