For my kitchen cabinets. Ive ordered farrow and ball studio green but I'm looking for some recommendations please. I want a deep rich green, not too mossy muddy or bluey. If anyone loves their dark green cabinets please let me know what paint you used. 😁

Little Greene hopper is glorious, it's a really warm green and looks totally different in different lights. We call it Christmas green because it's that lovely rich holly leaf green. I'd also ask you local stockist as they have all sorts of shades not available to the general public. Hundreds!

LG Dark Brunswick Green is a good dark shade. I used it in our bathroom.

I’ve used various different paints at different times and in my opinion LG are the best. I painted our kitchen cabinets and walls in LG a year ago and it’s all still completely unmarked. Really easy to work with, too, goes on a treat.

@TheFireflies may I ask what finish you went for? Im fairly new to painting and I've never painted cupboards before but i want a finish that doesn't show handprints/ sticky fingers or at least minimises the look .

We used the all surface primer on the woodwork followed by intelligent eggshell. And intelligent matt emulsion on the walls.

@TheFireflies thanks so much!

@LibertyLily we've got F&B Bancha in our (sunny) bathroom and it's a very dark olive, apparently it's much darker than the archive Olive. It's a gorgeous colour, very mid century.

We have Bancha in our hallway. Love it!

I've just used LG for the first time in DS's room and it's a joy to paint with (we used intelligent emulsion and eggshell on the radiator), I'm converted! Not too thick or thin, no smell. I also like that their paint charts have proper samples of the colours as well, makes choosing really easy (F&B's charts aren't that accurate so you always need samples). Less sheen than F&B's modern emulsion as well.

I second these suggestions. Gorgeous deep green colours and this paint goes on easily and is hardwearing once on.

I've used it on kitchen walls and they are so easy to wipe down with a wet cloth. Also used it to paint the vase of a dining table and it coped with daily wear and people putting their feet on the bar under the table.

Inchyra Blue
its green to me

It depends on the room/light. I have this in 2 rooms. One looks very dark green and the other much bluer and greyer.

Not on kitchen cupboards, but our living room is painted in Dulux Woodland Fern 1. It's a lovely rich green without a hint of blue.

FatFool · 09/05/2023 11:54

I just moved into a house with hideous dark grey cupboards. I painted them all Dulux Brilliant White gloss, 3 coats, less than a tin, cost me about £10

I went with gloss as its so shiny and wipe clean, does not show any marks at all.
