Super king bed, super king duvet?

I've heard different opinions from two people. Both have super king beds and one says king sized duvet is absolutely fine - makes it easier to buy covers, make the bed etc. The other says absolutely not, get super king duvet as it looks silly otherwise.
So, what is your opinion if you have a super king? I've got 3 weeks before we move and put up the new bed! I need to make a decision and don't want to make a mistake!

I am genuinely astonished that there are people putting king size duvets on a super king bed. It is not fine.

We have a SK duvet but I have to say I am quite keen on the Scandinavian approach of two singles. To make the bed you fold the two duvets lengthways and lay them next to each other at the foot of the bed (with the further benefit that this airs the mattress). If you want to disguise it further you can put a blanket over the top.

So you have to remake your bed when you get in? Why not put them lengthways then a bedspread?

You shouldn’t ‘make’ your bed in the morning. The sleeping surface needs to be aired for at least a couple of hours to allow the moisture you’ve sweated out overnight to evaporate and to allow any sunlight to kill dust mites. If you pull up the covers you trap everything.

And yes, superking duvet or two singles on a superking mattress.

King pillows, standard look silly and superking duvet absolutely.

I sleep in mine on my own and would actually like more duvet!

Honestly a real revelation. We've just started using separate duvets and will never go back.
