What colour is your hallway?

We still have the off white hall we inherited with this house many years ago and have finally booked a decorator. It runs over three floors so will be quite dominating throughout the house whatever we go for. Would appreciate any inspiration! For context it's a 60s house and we will then be replacing the hall carpet too.

@Cazziebo that colour looks perfect! Though my hall is pretty dark…. How does it look in low light? All the online pictures I can find are in quite bright rooo.

I'm currently painting mine in Dunelm Willow, it's pale green in the sunlight and green/grey upstairs where there isn't natural light. I love the colour. Carpet is going to be a light oatmeal. Downstairs has very scruffy original floorboards that need sanding, but are getting bright multicoloured rugs for now!

We did ours a few years ago and I still love it even though grey has gone out of fashion!

Mine is also mustard yellow!

Dannexe · 13/09/2022 07:35

White satinwood panelling and woodwork, dark wooden floor, slaked lime walls (warm off white)

Narcheska · 13/09/2022 07:41

Pink. In natural light it’s a really light pink blush colour barely registers and then in artificial light it’s slightly darker pink but still very light and not overpowering

Our hallway and lamding are painted in Saxe Blue by Craig and Rose. I've painted the woodwork, cupboard doors and radiators in the same shade too. I LOVE it!

Farrows cream - it's a sort of hay colour

UseOfWeapons · 13/09/2022 08:00

Pure white. Everywhere.

Ladyofthelake53 · 13/09/2022 08:39

I only have a small hall but its silvery grey at the moment but im tjinking of painting it sage green

ShinyPikachu · 13/09/2022 09:26

We need to redo ours too, I think it's actually magnolia and it's getting grubby now, it's the only room we didn't do any decoration to when we moved in.

We had Crown's "Egyptian sand" in our last house and I loved it. Yes another yellow Grin but it's not an in your face yellow.

I've been tempted to get it for here as well but our hallway is much bigger so it's a daunting job.

Mine’s Dulux Natural Calico with white paintwork and a cinnamon coloured carpet, cream tile flooring in the hall.
It looks fresh and bright, it’s too small a space for richer colours.

Facefortheradio · 13/09/2022 09:51

Hall, stairs and landing all in B&Q Antibes. We have a grey and white tiled hall floor and dark grey carpet on the stairs and landing.

I love it. I didn't subscribe to the grey trend but the grey carpet was the only colour that worked.

Davethecat2000 · 13/09/2022 10:42

Ours is Stiffkey Blue

Mine will be white on the side that won't have natural light on it from the velux windows and then the other side with be a vibrant patterned wallpaper, colour not finalised but will be either yellow, green or blue. The skirting will be oiled wood as will the doors and the flooring a natural product erring towards cork.

Currently it's white with a non descript beige carpet which came with the house.

BeaLola · 13/09/2022 16:52

We have brilliant white - and lots of pictures

catwithflowers · 13/09/2022 16:59

F&B (copy in Johnstone's Trade) Cord. It's lovely so warm and inviting 😍

goldfinchonthelawn · 13/09/2022 17:19

Ours used to be yellow (also F&B Hay which is a gorgeous colour but didn't really work with the carpet. So now it is a sort of biscuit colour which is very calming.

Very like this.

@HikingBoots I love that blue

Cleopatra67 · 13/09/2022 17:53

Little Greene Celestial Blue. Took me £50 worth of sample pots to get there but I love it.
