Yellow bedroom help

Moving house soon and my 2 year old is really excited to have a new bedroom. He keeps telling me, and everyone else, that it's going to be a yellow bedroom. Not sure where that's come from but it's his room so I'm happy to do it.
Please help! I've no idea how to make a yellow bedroom work. I don't think I'm brave enough to go bold but don't want to go paler and end up looking like magnolia. Does anyone have any ideas or inspiration? It's never a colour I've used before.

Farrow and Ball India Yellow is what you need- it's stunning.

I wouldn't use F&B in a child's room. Use something tougher, that won't mark at the slightest touch or splash.

I couldn't justify the price of F&B for a kids room but might be able to find a decent colour match that's cheaper and with a more durable finish.
I'm currently thinking of yellow walls, white woodwork and ceiling then either blue of turquoisey green accents.

Love pictures of the wood work being painted blue or turquoise but I couldn't face trying to paint over that in a few years time😬

You could just do an awesome yellow feature wall

Go bold and bright. It's only paint and paper and can be changed later on. One of the few times you can go over the top is kids rooms.

That Wilco yellow looks good. Loads of colours go with it too. He's made a good choice

I've dug out the tin and it was Wilko 'Happy Yellow' 🤣.
It went on and covered beautifully.

We have yellow in my sons room with a dull green carpet and curtains- they don't show marks too badly! Then lots of car and van stickers on the walls because that's what he likes. It's a lovely sunny room. Good choice.

I think ours is actually buttermilk, I find the colour looks a lot brighter once it's all over the wall than the test patch ever does.

Woodwork just matches the rest of the house.
