Opinions on tv stand please

I have narrowed it down to three choices and would really appreciate opinions.

Not sure if it should "match" my existing coffee table which has the metal element, or whether the two full wood options are still similar enough?

I have attached my three choices here and will post photo of my coffee table below, which is currently being used as tv stand.

Thanks Smile

The paint is Good Home (B&Q) Antibes Matt. They seem to have painted the whole flat in this range, so hopefully decent.

I now have a different, but related question...

Someone suggested changing the legs on my coffee table. I'm thinking I could do this - change to taller legs and use as a console table in my hallway?

I have attached pictures below. Would it work in this space, or is it a bit too deep to be used as that purpose??

I really appreciate your opinions! I don't want to bore my friends to death with all my new home/decor drivel Grin

I like your coffee table though it is a little drowned by all that space.
I do understand emotional attachment to furniture, I love my dressers so much.
My wife loves our dining room table and resists all my attempts to change it.

Back to your conundrum.
Could you keep the coffee table as a side table for one sofa and have a footstool/ottoman as the central piece?

PS what TV stand did you choose?

efeslight · 12/02/2022 15:16

I think the coffee table looks much better in the new space. Will you be ok if people sit on it and use it as a bench?
I prefer tv stand 2

getlamped · 12/02/2022 15:21

Thanks @efeslight and @IamEarthymama

I don't think it would work as a side table in my living room, just because of size/space beside sofas.

I don't really want it used as a bench, hence considering changing to taller legs. Then I can put a lamp, etc on it too. Just wasn't too sure if it was too deep/wide for that.

I have just ordered tv unit no.2 Smile

The 3rd one for me, definitely

Tardigrade001 · 12/02/2022 17:39

I wouldn't change the legs, it will ruin it!

getlamped · 12/02/2022 17:44

Even if they're still metal, just taller?

Thank you! We actually used that range in our place and are very happy with it but you've inspired me to maybe go a blue colour in the livingroom.

@Mo1911

First one for me. I don't fancy dusting the 2nd! 😄
Me either! First one

Agreed, don't change the legs. It's part of it and especially if you have sentimental attachment to it. I think it works really went as a table in your hall and would work with a flamp and maybe some books on it. I like low furniture so think it looks fab.
Plump82 · 12/02/2022 17:51

Lamp. Not flamp!

getlamped · 18/02/2022 15:19

One tv stand, as voted for, in place.

Thanks all. I do like it!

Aww yeah, that's cracking!!

DramaAlpaca · 19/02/2022 01:43

Oh that looks good! I love the room. It's great that you came back to update Smile

efeslight · 19/02/2022 09:15

Looks really good. Are you going to buy a new table for the room too?

SweetPotatoDumpling · 19/02/2022 09:53

Bit late to the party (as always 🤣) but I love your coffee table OP 🥰 (and sofas/TV stand 👍)

getlamped · 19/02/2022 10:46

Thanks all!

@efeslight I think so, but not for a while. I think I'll maybe get one made via Etsy or something.

Happy enough with the room as it is for now, and would rather concentrate on new cushions, lamps, some art work, that kind of thing. I'm sick to death of looking at proper furniture Grin

Yes, sit back and enjoy it now!

No advice, but I love the blue wall colour :)
