Opinions on tv stand please

I have narrowed it down to three choices and would really appreciate opinions.

Not sure if it should "match" my existing coffee table which has the metal element, or whether the two full wood options are still similar enough?

I have attached my three choices here and will post photo of my coffee table below, which is currently being used as tv stand.

Thanks Smile

@Plump82

Something a bit more rustic. Do you know what kind of the wood the table is?
I've always thought it was oak, but I could be wrong.

Any suggestions for a something suitable?

I'm looking but can't really find anything but I'd be tempted to stay away from wood. Try and tie in the table legs

I like the second one best.

KylieCharlene · 06/02/2022 16:51

The one you recently posted is by far the best match for your table and looks nice.
( Similar colour wood top).
In order of preference of the other 3 I'd say 3,1 then 2.
2 reminds me of a student house tv stand

bindud · 06/02/2022 16:51

1 or 2

bindud · 06/02/2022 16:52

The white paint & wood top is a bit dated imo

amiwrong2021 · 06/02/2022 16:53

I like the first one so much!! I think it goes with the sofa too.

Can I be cheeky and ask where it's from?

bindud · 06/02/2022 16:54

And yes the first options suit your sofa better

The one with rattan doors? It's from Made.

Was kind of thinking that

Just to say I have the sideboard version of no. 2 from MADE and it was very easy to put together and is very solid.

getlamped · 06/02/2022 19:26

Thanks @Toomuchleopard

How was delivery from Made?

Reviews for that unit are mixed, talking about 5 month waits for delivery. Hoping that issue has passed as Made do mention lengthy delivery times on some items, but not this one.

Another vote for the first one!

jaundicedoutlook · 07/02/2022 09:38

2nd none - the gaps will allow the IR signal to get through if you have items in there that use a remote and it will date less quickly than the rattan one. Don't use a coffee table - all of the exposed wires and cables dangling down at the back will drive you nuts.

Toomuchleopard · 08/02/2022 22:51

@getlamped I originally ordered from made with a 4 week delivery timescale. Them a few weeks later I noticed it had gone in the sale so was £50 cheaper and was being offered on a 5 day delivery time. I cancelled the original order and re bought it at sale price. It did come about a week later.

Tardigrade001 · 08/02/2022 23:08

The first one goes with the coffee table best. The second one is nice, but definitely different style. The third one is a bit boring.

I like the coffee table.

Tardigrade001 · 08/02/2022 23:14

However, the sofas will go best with the second one... and a different coffee table.

melmos · 09/02/2022 13:19

Like the first two but love your coffee table and I think the lovely wood would make the tv standards looks a bit shit.

Could you re purpose a vintage trunk / box / dresser or something similar? Feel like it work better with frenchic style rather than minimal stuff

Ginistheway · 09/02/2022 18:04

2 for sure.

Ginistheway · 09/02/2022 18:09

Sorry ive just seen the coffee table . Its nice , but totally diff style to the first 2 tv stands.
The curvy legs i mean ! Cd they be changed with hairpin legs to modernise and gel with the tv stand.?
Think 2 is ace. Think 1 more of a classic style.

getlamped · 12/02/2022 12:04

Me again.

Still really struggling to find something.

I have attached new photos now that the sofas have arrived, and moved the coffee table to show it in situ.

Would appreciate some links/photos of any suggestions for tv stand, or other advice/opinions.

I love the coffee table and it has some sentimental value for me, so I'm kind of clinging to it... for now Grin But I realise maybe it's too small in this space anyway Sad

Thanks!

I’d go for number 2 .

Plump82 · 12/02/2022 12:16

Your livingroom is lovely!! Would you mind sharing the paint you used. I think seeing it now, the 2nd stand would go best. And if you decide to make use the table somewhere else then I reckon it would be easy to find a coffee table to match that stand.

getlamped · 12/02/2022 12:20

Thank you @Plump82! Can't take any credit, unfortunately Grin

I'm out just now, but will check the paint tins that the previous owners left and let you know the shade.
