We have a Victorian fireplace in the study. It has tiles down each side, which I don’t think are original, but the fireplace woul have to be taken out for the tiles to be replaced. This is a bit too pricey for us to do, so we will keep the tiles as they are.
They are plain, no pattern, in a deep teal. Nothing especially attractive, and not what I’d choose, but there we are. Fireplace itself is black. The carpet is a beige neutral.
We will be buying dotted furniture for the study, probably in a painted finish.
What colours would go well with this please? Room is north facing, and pretty dark despite us replacing the sash window and making the window taller.
