I want to paint my hallway but I'm not sure what colour. What colour is yours? Photos appreciated too Smile
@GiantKitten those colours are lovely. The greys are all looking dark and cold in mine too. Maybe I should reconsider.
Thank you, Eels Smile

I just remembered my darker paint is Soft Truffle, & when I googled it to make sure, look what Google put side by side with it...!

Our hallway is very light grey.

We have a Sanderson wallpaper and a very pale sage green on the other walls which was colour matched to the wallpaper.

PickAChew · 10/11/2020 12:53

It's in the process of becoming little greene gauze mid. A very pale blue grey that reflects loads of light which is very much needed with our dark hallway.

Changethetoner · 10/11/2020 12:56

yellow, a sunny happy welcoming colour.

wonkylegs · 10/11/2020 13:00

Brilliant white woodwork
Pure Black on anaglypta textured paper under dado rail, parchment (pale cream) on plain wall above,
We haven't got round to doing the carpet yet but it's going to be a warm grey (we've already go upstairs)
it's a really dull and horrible day here today but it still looks lovely and not too dark

I really love that wonkylegs.

Giganticshark · 10/11/2020 13:21

White.... Which looks dank because it needs redoing. I have a new build - ish house and a large dark hallway so need very light colours. I'd love an older house to have something more colourful

buttonmoonb4tea · 10/11/2020 13:24

A very pale sage green. So calming to walk in to. Although it needs a fresh cover due to scuff and hand marks from DC

GOODCAT · 10/11/2020 13:24

@imabusybee - really like your hallway, the tiles, the colour and the dog!

SatsumaFan · 10/11/2020 14:14

Love that @wonkylegs!

I'm in a 1930's semi. Lots of light thanks to full length glass panel next to door and a decent sized window. Have narrowed choices down to F&B

Purbeck Stone or
Pavilion Grey

Has anyone got any experience or pics of these in a hallway please? Decided Elephant's Breath is too mushroomy, but hallway is north facing and after reading this thread am now worrying a pale cool grey will make it feel cold and unwelcoming...

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 10/11/2020 14:21

A weird purpley/beige putty colour. A remnant from the previous owners. I hate it.

idontevenknowanyonecalledblurb · 10/11/2020 14:25

Ours is farrow and ball Teresa green on the bottom and the lotus wallpaper on the top. It looks really lovely

I've had Purbeck stone in kitchen and lounge (at different times). I love it. It's not cold at all.
SatsumaFan · 10/11/2020 15:34

Oh thank you @justgeton! That's really reassuring Smile

justgeton · 10/11/2020 15:38

SatsumaFan it's either grey or beige depending on the light. I think warmer because there's no hint of blue in it.

Constance1 · 10/11/2020 19:02

We've just used Dulux Timeless on our hall and doors. Not very adventurous, but we've used more interesting colour in the rooms.

imabusybee · 10/11/2020 21:28

@SatsumaFan we shortlisted Purbeck Stone for our loft bedroom but have shelved it for now as planning a bit of a reconfiguration in the next couple of years so waiting to redecorate then. Its gorgeous and would look great in a hallway I think x

SatsumaFan · 10/11/2020 22:41

@imabusybee thank you for the reassurance. Purbeck Stone it is Smile

We have one wall with wallpaper and the other walls are F&B Elephant's Breath. Grey carpet on stairs and wooden flooring in the hallway.

Below the dado white (on the grounds that that is where the bashes come and it is easy to touch up). Above the dado F&B Dix Blue - originally Ballroom Blue that was a much nicer colour but they discontinued it Sad

We've had a sudden rush of blood to the head and ordered this for our hallway, stairs and landing. Arrived today. Could be a disaster but I don't care, I'm in love with it.

Beautiful! Our stairs are so old and battered-looking 😭
