I want to paint my hallway but I'm not sure what colour. What colour is yours? Photos appreciated too Smile

F&B Oxford Stone. A warm beige really, and I have a "warm" grey carpet on the stairs only, with cream tiled hall floor. Woodwork in Pointing.

Crazzzycat · 09/11/2020 14:18

Farrow & Ball Borrowed Light. It looks clean and fresh...or icy depending on who you ask😂 My hall is north facing though, which does tend to bring out colder tones!

If I ever get round to redecorating I might go for something a bit warmer, but for now I quite like how clean it looks

JemimaTiggywinkle · 09/11/2020 14:21

Dulux Egyptian cotton - it’s kind of neutral/grey/taupe - warmer than polished pebble

tinatree · 09/11/2020 14:22

F&B strong white.

DickAndSizzy · 09/11/2020 14:23

We have F&B Joa's White with Oxford Stone/Wimbourne White railings.

Bubbletrouble43 · 09/11/2020 14:27

A sort of lemon yellow. It is a light reflecting dulux paint as it's a dark hallway, supposed to be warm cream or something but it just looks yellow and I hate it. I'm painting it white again as soon as I can be arsed.

DavetheCat2001 · 09/11/2020 14:37

@Tomcullenisahero our hallway is dark anyway, no real natural light and long and fairly narrow.

I did originally contemplate trying to 'lighten' it, but I love strong jewel colours, and actually don't think going neutral would have made it look significantly lighter.

F&B Clunch, a kind of soft grey-ish chalky water, yellow, with buttermilk on 2 other walls, very warm colours to come into

Mine is Eau de nil, which is quite like duck egg, below the dado and white above. It's quite a dark hall and this looks fresh.

catnoir1 · 09/11/2020 15:12

Mine is currently grey but it won't be for long

ElectricEels · 09/11/2020 15:23

@DavetheCat2001

We have just painted ours Stiffkey Blue.

New flooring still to go down and bannisters to be decorated.

That is beautiful!

Natural Hessian in Hall, had a lot of compliments on the colour.

PeppaPigMakesMeGrrrrr · 09/11/2020 15:51

F&B Elephant Breath. Such a lovely colour....part grey, part green, part mushroom. Love it.

HollyandIvyandallthingsYule · 09/11/2020 15:57

Ours is white and although I’m not 100% sure, I think we will keep it that way. We are considering a dado rail and a vintage patterned wall paper on the lower half. But I like it white, it looks fresh and light and you don’t notice all the crooked lines everywhere (very old house).

Ooh I like that. I thought that colour would be darker so didn't pick it up!

Thank you everyone- I've googled all your colours and ordered loads of samples.

Nutmeg White. It's the only bit of my house that isn't a proper colour. I hate white walls in rooms but can tolerate it in the hall.

Larsingsong · 09/11/2020 16:05

Mizzle F&B. It's a green/grey.

missyB1 · 09/11/2020 16:09

Just finished ours. Paper is from wallpaper direct and paint is Dulux natural calico.

White. Purely because I had to paint the awkward bit at the top of the stairs with a brush taped to a stick, and I figured that having the walls the same colour as the ceiling would make life easier!
