Anyone not got a splashback/tiled area behind cooker?

I'm struggling to choose a splashback/tile.

Anyone just got paint behind the cooker?

Is it aesthetically pleasing, or does it look unfinished? I like an unfussy look.

Any recommendations for truly wipeable paint?

Op it's like worktop, so same colour etc but it goes on the wall, like the worktop continues up the wall but it's thinner as you can't stick worktop on your wall.

It's getting fitted 30th and 31st so yes I will send a pic.

I will look online now see if I can find it to show you

Here you go. Like this but mine has glittery bits in.

Oh I see, that looks great, thanks nancy. I will consider chaging my worktop.

Thats lovely @Pootle40

Is it weird seeing yourself? Or do you get used to it?

We inherited a clear glass splashback in this house which looks nice and unfussy. In our previous home I ordered an acrylic coloured splashback from ebay. You send the measurements and fit it yourself. I think it cost less than £30. We used silicon I think to fit it to the wall.

Hi @InJest I thought it would be weird but it really isn't. I also thought I would be cleaning it all the time and I'm not but it is only splashback for our sink as hob on island.

We rent and it’s just paint behind the cooker. It’s horrible! I wash it and am nearly down to the plaster, which is flaking. It was some sort of special paint a couple of years ago, the landlord did it.

Thanks @MilkRunningOutAgain. I hope your landlord fixes that for you! I expected to repaint that section frequently, but sounds like it could end up patchy. Food for thought.
