I am after a new sofa and have seen one I like in sofology, but the reviews of the company are awful.
Where was your sofa from?

Here’s Mr Tigerbear reclining on our new sofa. He’s incredibly overjoyed with it. Smile

That reminds me, my friend got one from Harveys. Fake suede brown recliner. Padding on seat went flat within a few months so you could feel the metal within. They werent interested.

Wereonabearhunt · 18/01/2020 19:02

Ours is from ikea.. memory foam layer n such

Saltnpepper5 · 18/01/2020 19:07

SCS and its awful. Can't wait till we get another one.

Next. Their customer service is very good

Horses4 · 18/01/2020 19:10

Next six years ago. Thanks to two kids and two cats, it is absolutely goosed, so also looking for recommendations

Racheyg · 18/01/2020 19:11

Next. Had it 2 years. Very comfy and well made.

Had a dfs one for the same price and was so uncomfortable and lost its shape well quickly

anothermansmother · 18/01/2020 19:26

M&S and multiyork. Both brilliant and much better than the ones I had previously which were 3x the cost. My mum has sofokogy ones in her lounge and they're still going strong despite going though teenagers, toddlers and being in their main sitting room.

Fizzypoo · 18/01/2020 19:27

You could have a look online for Next sofas. If there's one you like you can go to the nearest shop and test it out. Lots of colours to choose from too.

JohnLapsleyParlabane · 18/01/2020 19:29

One from Nabru, and one vintage ercol

Stayawayfromitsmouth · 18/01/2020 19:34

We have second hand m&s ones that are over 15years old. Only just starting to sag a bit now and I blame the kids.
However, I can't comment on the quality of a new m&s sofa.

OnebusyMum · 18/01/2020 20:29

I think im going to look in Next and Laura Ashley to see what they have

We saw a sofology one we wanted in their store. Came home and read the reviews. It changed our minds. We've ordered one from m&s now. Crossing our fingers it will be ok!
Last year I spent ages trying to get through to benson for beds with problems with new bed. I wasn't ready to go through that again with sofology! Apparently the sofas in store are built better than what is delivered to customers.

Ohdeariedear · 18/01/2020 20:47

I splashed out (by my standards)on an Ercol sofa a year ago and we’re not entirely delighted with it. reckon we’ll need to replace the seat pads with in another year or two, they’ve gone really saggy already.

Kuponut · 18/01/2020 20:48

Ours is Sofology - about 4 years old and considering that DH is very large and doesn't sit down gently on it and the kids dive all over it - it's held up well really. Still looks very new when I take the throws off it (with my kids and the dog I always have throws on sofas) and actually tidy the cushions up properly.

They did have an extensive installation process for the Neal the Sloth when it was delivered though. He was ceremonially installed on the sofa with much care and consideration (and then DD2 nicked him).

I tend to avoid Harveys as they're linked with Bensons for Beds who I had a terrible experience with.

Killerqueen2244 · 18/01/2020 23:26

My fabric sofa from Next has lasted well, as has my mums leather sofas from there. Both 10 years and counting.

If you’ve got the budget, we got our leather sofas from Indigo Furniture. They’re really good quality and haven’t lost any bounce in the cushions at all.

Bloomburger · 18/01/2020 23:29

CoolShoeshine · 19/01/2020 08:33

Awful leather sofas from next - back pads are misshapen and uncomfortable. You can’t sit up straight on them. Looking to replace after about 3 years.

MangoM · 19/01/2020 08:38

We got ours from Dwell last year.
We were after modular fabric sofas and they had the best option and style for us. We copied friends of ours - they've had theirs at least 7 years and they still feel firm.

Next and they still look immaculate and are very, very comfy!

donquixotedelamancha · 19/01/2020 08:46

Mine are direct from a small manufacturers.

I used eBay and Google search for companies that made the type I wanted.

£1700 for leather chesterfield: 3 seater, 2 seater, big chair and foot stool. Much cheaper than retail and made much quicker.

NemophilistRebel · 19/01/2020 08:49

The Lounge Co - 2 years old and as good as new

Love them

Kyriesmum1 · 19/01/2020 08:49

Ours is from next, had three years with 3 cats and 9 children and still looks and feels amazing! Two of my friends have gone and brought the same ones as has my mil. Ours is the ash ford range x

barberousbarbara · 19/01/2020 08:49

We're lucky to live near SofaSofa. They make them locally and are cheaper than most of the bigger stores.
