I was wondering if anyone has used this colour?

I love it when I see it in blogs and tried it today and it looks purple!!!!

I’m not sure what direction the room is but it is a cold room.

I need a faint pink to go with skimming stone and navy.

I don’t like more obvious pink colours and want something subtle.

I tried calamine and it reminds me of the colour my bedroom was when I was six years old, far too girly and pink.

I don’t like any shade of peach either so setting plaster has been ruled out.i know I need to try lots of testers but I really don’t want the additional cost esp when it’s for a tiny room.

I'd recommend contacting F&B. I messaged them via FB for advice on a complimentary colour for my kitchen island. Showed which directions light was coming from & chosen floor. They were very helpful & gave a few recs. I was impressed.

Oh that bedroom is lovely. I might do my daughter’s room bright sunny room in it.

A good idea to message them. Thank you.

@Doyoureallyneedtoask yes it's a lovely sunny room. It's more peach than lilac, but I wouldn't describe it as peachy at all. Just a muted pink.

Does it have to be farrow and ball? Sounds like they don't have the shade you're after...

Hotbiscuits · 26/08/2019 08:52

That’s heresy doghaseaten

No it doesn’t have to be F&B. It was more a case of sticking with what I know.

I wanted to have the same paint as the rest of the house and like F&B shades esp their neutrals. They have enough colours ;to choose from usually) without having an overwhelming amount.

The newest samples are from a different t range 😀

I'm looking for the same OP, was going to try Great White.

MumUndone · 26/08/2019 11:28

I think you need to start with white or grey as your 'base' colour as all the pinks will be too pink.

Have a look at Little Greene Chemise.

goldpendant · 27/08/2019 06:04

Also Orchard Pink by Fired Earth.

I have great white on the bedroom ceiling (south facing) but whether in sunlight or bedside light it looks a soft white. The walls are peignoir. The coving is also great white but looks whiter in these photos but not in reality.

I tried Great White, it is definitely showing up as pink but is much lighter than I initially wanted.

I saw Sulking Room on an Istagram account today and it looked beautiful. I am very tempted to try it.

I am having the exact same problem! I saw Little Greene's 'China clay deep' in a magazine last year and immediately knew I wanted it for our hallway- picked up various samples at the weekend, have them up in the hallway to see how they look and it's bloody old lady dye job! 🙄 same with F & B Setting Plaster.

I also bought samples of F & B 'pink Ground' and dulux 'blush pink' which I was worried would be too girly pink- but to my surprise I think it is one of those two I will end up with.

Will move them around our west facing hallway this week, since we appear to be having sun/storms etc and hopefully pick one.

I think magazines and photo editing are partly to blame for mid-leading us all and making us spend £££ on samples 😂

@goldpendant that room looks lovely btw and is the colour I have in mind for our hallway.
