wtf is this?! Do you think they intended for it to turn out like this, or do they just have immense chutzpah? And look at the price!

Actually I like the cow.
At least it's openly ridiculous.

ICJump · 07/05/2017 01:28

What the fuck is that cow? I mean really why? Who?

icclemunchy · 07/05/2017 01:33

I kinda want the cow Blush

AtticusCactus · 07/05/2017 01:39

What a load of shite.
I saw a plywood dressing table like my mum had in the 70's described as shabby chic upcycle. It was blotched with stains and had started to bubble where it had been stored in the damp.
400 quid they wanted for it.
Then.... then... there was a wooden step ladder. Old wooden ladder, well used with paint splodges. Described as "vintage" and "a perfect upcycle for storing plants on"- £150.

Shabby chic, my arse. Shabby shit more like.

AtticusCactus · 07/05/2017 01:42

In the right house with the right decor, that cow may look alright. Not at that price though.

haveacupoftea · 07/05/2017 05:18

The cow would look great in the Taj Majal!

I actually don't mind old furniture being painted, if it has been carefully painted a nice tasteful colour with no bits sanded off. It can be nicely done. These examples are horrendous though.

bushtailadventures · 07/05/2017 05:37

I missed the boat on this stuff. My gran had loads of '40's utility furniture, we had to pay someone to take it all when she died. If only she'd hung on 20 years I could have splashed some paint on and made a fortune!!

Seriously, I like painted furniture when it's done nicely, but none of the above have been done with any sympathy to the furniture (if that makes sense) and it all looks hideous.

gregoriesgirl · 07/05/2017 05:55

Car crash upcycling at its worst !

Strikhedonia · 07/05/2017 08:00

good lord, that cow!

But these things are everywhere, I am scared!

alien child

Makinglists · 07/05/2017 08:07

That wardrobe doesn't look Victorian more like a bit of utility furniture from the war. Looks like the local nursery have let the kids loose on it (only if pre-schoolers had done it it would look way nicer)

Shockers · 07/05/2017 08:16

If I lived in a farmhouse type affair, with massive rooms, I'd be taking that golden calf home.

It would fill the understated sitting room of my 1960s bungalow though, so I'll stick my debit card back in my bag.

itsacatastrophe · 07/05/2017 20:06

£429???!! ShockShock wowzers. I'm clearly in the wrong business.

didireallysaythat · 09/05/2017 22:30

Is noone else wondering how you post a cow for £30 ?

SoupDragon · 09/05/2017 22:41

I kind of like the cow and the first mannequin lamp as they are at least done well and are amusing. The wardrobe is s huge pile of crap though. Unbelievably bad!

The chd mannequin lamp is like something you'd expect to see on Dr Who.

randomuntrainedcuntowner · 09/05/2017 22:44

That poor wardrobe. Once upon a time it was a fine piece of furniture...😕

ragged · 09/05/2017 22:44

I love the cow

FadedRed · 09/05/2017 22:55

Have anyone else watched 'Money for nothing' on daytime BBC?
It's all this sort of nonsense at stupid prices. Excellent for a laugh on a rainy day.
(I rather like the cow. It would look lovely in the corner of my sitting room. Grin)

Longdistance · 09/05/2017 22:59

The cow looks like a rip off from the Terminal 5 BA first class lounge horse with a lamp on its head.

That mannequin, I swear it said shitting when I read the description first time Blush

Longdistance · 09/05/2017 23:02

I horse shit you not...

That wardrobe made me think of Grange Hill for some reason.

offblackeggshell · 09/05/2017 23:09

That cow is awesome! 😂

ThePurpleOneWithTheNut · 09/05/2017 23:25

Makes me think of Harry Enfield Grin

meganix · 10/05/2017 02:40

I want the cow!

Smitff · 10/05/2017 02:55

The lamps I kind of get, but they're really only half a step away from all that Damian Hirst stuff from back in the day. They already look passé. Plus, they're bloody enormous.

TitaniasCloset · 10/05/2017 03:15

That wardrobe looks like Annie Sloane got blind drunk on the Xmas brandy, started knocking back her own paint when the brandy ran out, then threw up all over the wardrobe in a hangover of epic proportion.

annandale I think it might be because of the mad graphics at the beginning of grange hill?

The silver lady of the lamp takes off her polka dot head piece at night and slips into bed with you when you are sleeping.
