So, I want to decorate my kitchen.

At the moment it is a painted a luffly chocolate brown, I want to keep that colour but have on one wall a bit of statement wallpaper.

I am a big fan of blues but thought it should maybe have another colour.

So what goes with brown that isn't blue, but won't look out of place next to my cream-with-blue-accentuated (?) living room.

Please bear in mind, I live in a 2 bed house, I have 2 rooms downstairs - living room and kitchen.

it is important I get this right.

see, I had a genuine decorating question and now MNHQ can not delete Shaky's thread.

I want actual pictures. My budget is non-existant, so the cheaper the better.

ooo, the last two are more my thing although I did want to move away from the blue as I have some kind of blue in every other room (I cant help it, its calming)

Cant recall seeing any purple/brown colour schemes though.

My stupid kitchen isn't very swish, what with it being standard housing association (I long for stainless steel, shiny units and integrated units...my budget says "get over yourself" )
