We are 2 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 14.

Ideally it would;

Be next to a sandy beach

Have great food

Have a couple of water slides to keep the older child happy. I'm not looking for a full on water park.

I'm not bothered about alcohol as I barely drink, I'm looking at all inclusive so I dont need to cook and don't need to spend time looking for somewhere to eat each night.

But I'd like somewhere naice, IYSWIM.

Thank you

@Floofydawg do Ikos have water slides/toddler splash pools do you know? Looking for later this year and my toddler loves a splash pool!

Crikeyalmighty · 12/05/2023 14:21

I would be looking (budget dependent) at something like Kamari beach in Rhodes (mark Warner) Faliraki has a huge water park too and the resort has a lot of activities suitable for all ages. They have nice ones in Turkey and Greece too - but I mentioned the Rhodes one as the resort has the water park -

Thanks everyone!

These look lovely but we really need a couple of slides, thank you

We have booked Club Marvy in Ozdere, Turkey which i think fits what you want. The slides look great but it is a naice 5 star resort with great reviews for food and 2 private sandy beaches.

Club Letoonia in Fethiye, Turkey

I have stayed here in Majorca OP - at the more affordable end of the market. Still very lovely though- my son adored it. Much loved by the Germans- but lots of other nationalities too- just outside Puerto pollensa. - very regular bus and cheap taxi ride- beautiful complex- fantastic cycling track round the outside - kids clubs, food was excellent for an AI - I ate salmon till it came out my ears!! book top end accommodation and you are sorted- the basic is 'a bit basic' it certainly had a few slides when I went but their website has a chat with us facility - so check

Only thing it doesn't have is a sandy beach across road- it has a stone one- but quick 6 minutes into Puerto pollensa a gorgeous beach or 19 minutes the other way to Alcudias

No water slides though. Zero tackiness at Ikos.

Ricos premium seagate in Egypt.
Atlantica aki zeus it nice but the a la cartes are shit

Ichangedmynameonce · 12/05/2023 17:46

I wasn't aware a couple of slides for older kids sent me into tacky 😂😂

@Ichangedmynameonce that's why I enjoyed the one I posted in Majorca OP- it was up market (ish) but not pretentious- yes they had slides and slightly tacky night time entertainment ( grease etc) but it was both smart and fun and I'm a relative snob about such things . Great indoor pool and spa and gym too if weather turned at all -

Stokey · 12/05/2023 17:54

Lykia hotel Turkey, massive water slides.

thefemaleJoshLyman · 12/05/2023 18:15

@rookiemere We've stayed there too and loved it!

Thank you @Crikeyalmighty I think you're my holiday doppelganger!

@Ichangedmynameonce ha- put it like this , the couple and son we made friends with were city types and both said they loved the fact they had lovely accommodation and nice food and 5 pools - but also appreciated the amount of activities including the clubs, adult only areas, nature trail, and yes the slightly cheesy tribute shows and karaoke night etc- we had a damn good laugh in an evening . The guy said it felt like a proper holiday rather than just an exercise in 'aren't we posh' - half the price too of some of the incredibly upmarket places and very easy too to nip into town rather than middle of nowhere.

Ichangedmynameonce · 12/05/2023 19:07

Sounds great, thank you!

@Crikeyalmighty does it have any slides for a 14 year old? It looks lovely, but slideless. Thank you 😊

Crikeyalmighty · 12/05/2023 20:43

@Ichangedmynameonce There is a water slide and waterfalls - but only in kids pool- thinking about it I had an 8 year old with me at the time.

You do have the massive water park at alcudia about 10 minutes away though

It did do lots of activities with teens though when we were there -

Here's the Thomas cook link as it gives a good idea. It does fit your criteria in so many ways without breaking the bank and does have the huge water park pretty close by -

If anyone can recommend anymore that would be great.
