Hotel Recommendation in Madeira?

Has anyone been on holiday to Maderia? If so any Hotel recommendations?

Me and my partner are looking and trying to work out where to stay for June/July

Quinta da casa branca is gorgeous

Stayed at the melia mare about 5 years ago on a great deal, it's a really lovely hotel

Quinta Jardins do Lago, just perfect.

Can anyone recommend a small local company for day trips? I’d like to walk some of the lavadas but keen not to spend too much time on a coach.

Have used these a couple of times.
The jeep tour of the west side of the island was loads of fun.
Nun's Valley was good too.
