Since the last thread (www.mumsnet.com/Talk/general_advice_tips/a2043055-Passport-Processing-Time) is now full I though we could continue our discussions here!

I will do tomorrow if i get no joy.

Lookingforadvice123 I still have a few weeks before I travel, so not panicking yet, just keeping a close eye on things and absorbing all the good advice on this thread about how to get things moving.

In fairness, I don't feel that I can start kicking up a fuss until they've had the application 3 weeks (on their calculation that isn't until this Thursday), especially since I've got a few weeks in hand, but I definitely don't want to get complacent about it. Especially since travelling to Belfast to fetch it would be a nightmare.

I keep hoping that the Belfast Office's suggestion that I ring back towards the end of the week means that they think that they'll have something to tell me by then. At the moment I don't think that it's even on anyone's desk. God help me if there are any problems with it!

jillyjilly41 renewals should be fine my husband and I had ours back within 3 weeks.

jillyjilly41 · 24/06/2014 21:09

hellyo18 · 24/06/2014 21:13

Text from liverpool to say being printed today. Straight forward renewal sent 27/5 delivered 28/5 text 30/5 to say received. To be fair I waited 3 weeks before contacting and call backfrom Liverpool was the next day (Sunday) and they rang yesterday as I said I would collect to say there was a 55.00 charge to collect?? which no one said but at the time, we are flying 25 July so opted to wait for delivery but it wasn't a problem to upgrade when I spoke to them at the weekend they rang me back to say the upgrade would take longer

hellyo18 · 24/06/2014 21:13

Sorry 18th july

chocchoc30 · 24/06/2014 21:15

They went to Glasgow but no idea if they stayed there or not.

Lookingforadvice123 · 24/06/2014 21:31

jillyjilly do you mean being examined on 17th July, not June? I would give them a call directly, they can tell you more info. The number is further up this thread.

spongebobscardypants · 24/06/2014 21:36

I'm trying to get my check n send rush thought for a family bereavement in USA. No chance I tell ya. I need a direct number for Liverpool. I've faced over proof of death

androbbob · 24/06/2014 22:12

Sent my DS renewal passport on 23rd May - received new passport on 19 June - so just on weeks - was sent to Liverpool. We did not have a date to travel then, so it was left blank.

Sounds like they are starting to filter through.

doorbellringer · 25/06/2014 01:55

Sent dc first passport and my renewal on Thursday 19th June to arrive Friday 20th. Payment taken from my account yesterday, Tuesday 24th. Looking positive I hope. We travel in 9 weeks.

chocchoc30 · 25/06/2014 06:57

They took my payment on the 21st may I'm still waiting.

jacksoneer · 25/06/2014 07:28

They told me that my passport was taken by one of their examiners, so I assume it is being examined. Anyone have a clue how long does it take for this process until it is printed?

sunshinehopeful · 25/06/2014 08:13

Passport bringing delivered tomorrow (adult renewal)
Belfast office, posted 29th May, received 3rd June, cheque cleared 10th June, delivery (according to DX) 26th June.

3w2d from receipt.

Hope this is of encouragement for someone.

Called again and once again waiting for a call back. Hope is fading now :(

Roussette · 25/06/2014 10:04

I wish all of you the best of luck in getting your passports, it must be soooo stressful.

Just incidentally for anyone looking in whose passport is due for renewal in say a year - you can renew up to NINE MONTHS in advance and I renewed mine in February (not due till this October) and got it back really quickly. I know I know this is not helping anyone on here who are now waiting for their passports but just for anyone who perhaps is due for a renewal next year sometime - do it in the winter months when it's quieter. They add on the 9 months so you don't lose anything.

Good luck everyone. Smile

SaveTheMockingBird · 25/06/2014 10:08

I really really hope you get your passport chocchoc30 Sad

Online tracking....is there any other way of tracking the passport other than sending them an e-mail via the tracking page and waiting for them to reply? I e-mailed them 2 days ago...still waiting to hear from them.

funambulist · 25/06/2014 10:10

Thanks sunshinehopeful very encouraging for me as my passport is 2 days behind yours at Belfast.

funambulist · 25/06/2014 10:12

SaveTheMockingBird I've emailed via the tracking page a couple of times and each time they've taken about 4 days to reply.

SaveTheMockingBird · 25/06/2014 10:17

Thanks funambulist. Hope you get your passport soon too!

SaveTheMockingBird · 25/06/2014 10:47

woohoo!!!! Just now I received a text saying passport is being printed and would be delivered in the next few days! Check and send on the 2nd june and received on the 4th june...so that was exactly 3 weeks ago. Was a straight forward childs renewal.
Hope everyone on this thread gets their passports soon....
