Passport Processing Time

Anyone have any idea on processing time of First Passports at the moment? We sent our daughters application via check and send almost 2 weeks ago and no idea on when to expect it back. Hopefully someone can shed some light?!

I have 3 applications in Belfast at the moment, mine, husband's & youngest daughter ...all renewals. As I am british overseas can I pay for upgrade and if so at what stage can this be requested. Flying to US August

I've been waiting almost 2 days for my MP to contact me! And the passport can't do anything until it's been a 3 week turnaround! This is so frustrating!

The passport that arrived with us was just posted through the letterbox, it doesn't have a stamp or postage paid on it so I'm assuming it was delivered by a courier. I got a text the day before saying it was being printed.

Will my application status show as awaiting documentation until its pulled for examination? Im going to annoy them till I have a 3 passports

Quick question for anyone that can help...

I had a phone call yesterday morning to say our two passports were printed on Thursday evening and were being sent out. When should they arrive with us and by what means? Do they come by courier or Royal Mail? If Royal Mail it wont be till Monday now.

My daughters passport was printed on a Thursday and I received it on a Monday am and it was from a courier on a motorcycle

Thanks Lucy, will just have to wait till Monday then i guess. We are right down in Cornwall so i dont think a courier will be used.

My sons was printed on the wednesday and I recieved it thursday by a man in a unmarked white van. Depends how they send it usuall it's by 24-48 hour courier or it can be sent by normal post or recorded delivery royal mail

ive just spoken to the escalations team AGAIN and he was extremely rude and said that we are told its only an estimate the 3 weeks and that if i have booked travel and have to cancel then i only have myself to blame ever though they have had them for over 6 weeks that its my own fault he said the MPs are wrong and that there isn't a back log just lots of applications and people are complaining in to little time that if we stopped complaining and let them just get on with the thousands of applications and stopped getting the MPs involved mabey things would move along quicker he said all the Mps are doing is scaremongering he said liverpool wouldnt ring me back for an upgrade until the passports were in the final stages and ready to send for printing so they wouldnt ring me until then and mine are still going through checks was so annoyed i just put the phone down i do understand we shouldnt have booked before we got them but in my eyes nearly 8 weeks since i sent them is ample time am i beig unreasonable he made me feel a bit silly for making a fuss!!

Yummymummy1 which office is dealing with your application? I emailed my MP in Manchester to look into our Overseas applications. I don't see why I should pay more and have to wait twice as long for a bog standard renewal. Disgraceful service making me feel like a second class citizen. Second class service

I emailed 2 mp's with my details. I don't want to wait 4 weeks before ringing them.....in my eyes that's 4 weeks lost. Im onto these lot taking the mickey in my eyes pay more for a second class service how long have you been waiting now?

it will be 6 weeks on monday since they say they received them ans 7 weeks since i sent them check and send just been on another forum and a poor girl has missed going on her sisters hen week in greece as hers have not come and shes been waiting 8 weeks :( and had her MP on it too

Another day passed and still no passport! I guess I will be calling Durham office again on Monday! It looks like they are having great fun playing with peoples life! :(

Im on the phone Monday too. Im not being fobbed off. I need 3 adult renewals ASAP and I cannot wait 4 weeks before I find something out. Im going to continue to email anyone & everyone to tell them how bad this service is. Maybe I will email the queen to tell her how bad the service is

it was actually a page for hisaronu in turkey on facebook for people who are visiting irishtown and sonia when do you fly?? i was told also today on the phone that there are 3 stages 1 receipt 2 check 3 ready for print and with out it being on the 3rd stage theres no chance of a call back or upgrade :(

I fly august but need to do the esta immigration at least 2 weeks before we go and I cant get my tickets from Virgin without valid passport numbers

my sister is scheduled for surgery and I have to be there

oh god well hopefully you will get sorted well before august if your on the case now!!! im making myself sick with worry i cant sleep thinking about telling the kids we cant go if only they would ring me back so i could just go and collect them i will pay they the bloody £150 its going to cost if i do eventually get to upgrade them but with each passing hour im loosing faith as its not even been looked at yet :*

next friday :( my MP is supposed to be helping but im still waiting to hear back hopefully she will be able to shed some light as the only info they have had anywhere is that its been received at liverpool and thats it oh and that they have received the counter signatory back its not even been sent for examination yet
