it is a word used to indicate that it's up to you if that's what you want Wink

CountessDracula · 15/06/2006 11:42

You MUST have the word whatever in the cuntry, surely?

SoupDragon · 15/06/2006 11:42

Yes and we're going there this summer too as it's our timeshare year :) .

Carmenere · 15/06/2006 11:43

Another suggestion for an amazing holiday would be Tobago. It's stunningly beautiful, really friendly people and not as expensive as other Carribbean islands.

CountessDracula · 15/06/2006 11:44

I already suggested that one

I love Tobago

CountessDracula · 15/06/2006 11:44

Grenada is lovely too

Carmenere · 15/06/2006 11:47

We went there and ended up buying a 2 bed timeshare villa (sleeps 6 if you include the sofabed). Right on the beach... sigh.

CountessDracula · 15/06/2006 12:29

Beety I think you should buy a holiday home then it would save you a fortune in the long run with all your sprogs

CountessDracula · 15/06/2006 12:32

\link{http://www.findaproperty.com/agent.aspx?agentid=3750&opt=prop&pid=611955\here} an interest only mortgage on that would cost you £550 a month Grin

Beetroot · 15/06/2006 12:49

we often think of buying in Greece but then there is the upkeep and the blah blah and then if we wanted to go somewhere else we woudl have to sort out rental balh blah

TiredEmma suggested \link{http://www.villapuglia.com/\this} on my 'Puglia' thread.

Puglia is the new tuscany, as any fule kno.

But IF we go abroad we might go to the coast near Montpelier.

saadia · 15/06/2006 12:52

Depending on when you're going Dubai might be nice. We were considering it but thought it might be too hot in the summer. I have now settled on Corsica but dh is going to do his own research and then we'll decide. I was also quite interested in Canada or the Italian lakes (neither of those would fit your requirements though).

Beetroot · 15/06/2006 12:56

blu, that looks fabulous. I bet it is pricey!!

Saadia yes have looked at dubai but not sure

Who the hell wants to go to the same place every year though?
I don't get that.......

Dubai is a cultural void Beetroot(well there is a bit,but hard to find)
Lording it while SE Asians slaved for a pittance sat badly with me too. Sad

Alabama woman!!!

Beetroot · 15/06/2006 13:58

i wants me a nice villa in spain or majorca or ibiza with a pool and not over looked. I want to get my kegs off and liaze around. Then find a gorg local resrturanta to eat at and perhaps wander down the beach . Possible some sailing nearby or scuba diving. keep the kids happy.

Alcudia quite busy - v popular with families in July. Pto Pollensa is less than half hour from Alcudia -lovely.Further down that coast is Cala D'Or - lots of little bays, but quite a few hotels, but tis quieter. (and prettier ime)
