Stomach is growling now in thought of those fish and chips. We spend 6 weeks ther every year and I put on about a stone every time!!

spykid · 18/01/2006 18:21

I always feel really sad when i realise most people go there for the walking...I go there for the ice cream!!!!

stephanie21 · 18/01/2006 18:22

the fish is gorgeous from there though!we used to beat the queues!i worked at the garage in criccieth (londis) and we used to ring up and order food then boss would go pick it up!!!

Been coming every year since I was 2... so 30 years!!!!!

stephanie21 · 18/01/2006 18:44

it used to be called annabelles, then my mum took it over and called it house of stephanie (not after me!but thats a long story!)she left ther in april last year.she sold porcelain dolls and other gifts, its on the opposite side to the post office

spykid · 18/01/2006 18:46

Ermmm, is it by that nice gifty shop that is 3 stories high? by the lighting shop?

stephanie21 · 18/01/2006 18:48

i love that shop!!you know where the george hotel is?its just passed there next door but one to the carpet shop.she had agreen and white stripey canopy outside.

Whizzz · 18/01/2006 18:49

In my opinion, there are far nicer bits of Wales (apologies to anyone living in Rhyll)

spykid · 18/01/2006 18:50

O yes I know the one. I always spend money in that 3 storey one, on completely useless things I don't need. Oh and ditto for the lemon tub in Porthmadog!!!

stephanie21 · 18/01/2006 18:52

ive got loads of ornaments from there, and candles,i love the candles from there!i love going in there at xmas, you can get some really unusual pressies!

spykid · 18/01/2006 18:52

stephanie21 · 18/01/2006 18:58

spykid · 18/01/2006 19:00

Wheres that?

stephanie21 · 18/01/2006 19:04

near spar.just next to the butchers.the food is to die for!he does the best mash potatoe, and he does minty carrots!and his puds!!!!oh,and for starters you have to try cheese and chili melters!yum yum!!!you need a crane though to get you out when you've eaten there!if you like steak, have that.his chicken dishes are great aswell.never had the fish though, but am sure thats equally as yum!

SecondhandRose · 18/01/2006 19:17

justmummy, don't know if you wanted the northwest or were after the seaside. I have a holiday home in Nantwich, Cheshire that I rent out if that's any help. I can't afford to advertise on Mumsnet (its £50) but you can get in touch via Mumsnet if you're interested.
