We're thinking of taking dd & ds to north wales in june. Interested to know what other peoples experiences of this area are.

Nope, wouldn't recommend Rhyl at any time of the year! DH is from North Wales and hasn't got a good word to say about Rhyl.
But there are lovely places in NOrth Wales, including Snowdownia & Chester, and Llandudno would be a nice place to stay.

moondog · 18/01/2006 13:55

God no! Stay clear of Rhyl!
I live outside Caernarfon-you want to come on up more our way.
I love Cricieth, it must be sad.
Has a real old fashioned vibe.

moondog · 18/01/2006 13:56

JG,Vogue once voted Newborough beach as one of the world's top ten!

teeavee · 18/01/2006 13:59

Blandmum · 18/01/2006 18:18

I must say I wouldn't recomend Rhyl at any time.

Reason, it is horrible.

There are much nicer places to visit in the Land of my Fathers (and mothers)

Lucycat · 18/01/2006 18:19

Just had a look at that park and it looks really nice, thanks. We live in South Manchester so it's 'do-able' for a weekend in the summer.

We do like Criccieth, it's the perfect seaside town!

spykid · 18/01/2006 18:19

Great chippy but bloody long queues!

stephanie21 · 18/01/2006 18:20
