I did study history which I love. Would choose it again

StripedPiggy · 12/07/2024 21:40

Politics.

My degree was in Economics, but I probably should have studied politics. If I had, I would likely have pursued a career in political journalism.

POTC · 12/07/2024 21:46

Linguistics, I really hope to do it one day

LadyCrumpet · 12/07/2024 21:52

Timeforicecream · 12/07/2024 21:58

@DingleDongBellEnd me too, I actually was lucky enough to do my degree for fun. I adore reading, certainly would do it again without hesitation!

KnitFastDieWarm · 12/07/2024 21:58

Conservation (as in preserving old stuff, not looking after the rainforests). I love working with old documents and textiles.

Chickydoo · 12/07/2024 21:58

Cat cuteness

TheresMillionsSaidGeoffrey · 12/07/2024 22:01

Survival course, specialising in how to survive foraging not hunting animals though.

theeyeofdoe · 12/07/2024 22:07

Baldur’s gate or Harry Potter. But I also love the subject I took - Optometry.

HobnobsChoice · 12/07/2024 22:09

Costume design or preservation of clothing

JenniferandJuniper · 12/07/2024 22:26

Child psychology.

Something remote with the RSPB.

Castlerigg · 12/07/2024 23:29

I already said nutrition, above. But also Economics, although that might actually not be what I want. I'm interested in how money works in the world. But even more, I find money, and people's attitudes to it, completely fascinating. For example, someone might think Spotify is a huge waste of cash, but might spend more than the monthly fee on a single bottle of wine. People's perception of value is so varied.

Last year I completed an OU degree in history, because it interested me. I did some English Literature as well in the course.
If I did another degree, it would be either psychology or politics.

Bunnyannesummers · 13/07/2024 11:51

I’d want to do an American degree where you can take lots of difference classes in all sorts of things

StrangewaysHereWeCome · 13/07/2024 11:52

My local government university offers a degree in Japanese and Art History, which I will sign up for immediately on winning the lottery.

StrangewaysHereWeCome · 13/07/2024 11:54

Not sure where the word "government" appeared from. Local university.

AutismHelp1980 · 13/07/2024 11:54

Sociology or History or a combo of both would have been amazing. I did Law instead
