Art history. Studying amazing paintings and artists would be a joy.

CalamityClam · 13/07/2024 12:04

Dressmaking and sewing in general.

SabrinaThwaite · 13/07/2024 19:15

Some kind of architecture / archaeology blend for investigating historic buildings and their landscape settings.

llamajohn · 13/07/2024 19:18

Werweisswohin · 13/07/2024 19:22

The German language.

Waitingfordoggo · 13/07/2024 19:23

Linguistics for me too. I did a Combined BSc 25 years ago which incorporated linguistics and really enjoyed it but have not had much need to use it (apart from when I did TEFL) Would like to do a Masters in some aspect of linguistics- either phonetics/phonology or syntax. I was accepted onto a Forensic Linguistcs MA a few years ago but then suffered a bereavement so shelved it. It was at Aston University which has come up in discussion recently on MN- was glad I hadn’t studied there when I saw what they’d been up to lately!

Medicine

Mama05070704 · 13/07/2024 19:50

I did it.

First went to uni over 20 years ago and hated it. Spent far too longer do a job I didn’t enjoy purely because it paid well, but always regretted not training as a midwife.

Fast forward a few years, Covid and a redundancy, I’m just graduated with a first in Midwifery and start working as a midwife in a few weeks.

Sourisblanche · 13/07/2024 20:41

I was lucky enough to study geology, a subject I loved and still do, to MSc level. I’m really interested in Neanderthals and their demise so if I went back to study it would be Paleoanthropology and early human civilisation.

KintheCottage · 13/07/2024 20:42

History

HPFA · 13/07/2024 20:49

I would have done a degree to learn Sign Language and then become an interpreter.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 13/07/2024 20:52

Astrophysics or astronomy. I'm not intelligent enough for it though, it's really difficult.

Tunder · 13/07/2024 20:53

Theology. But I’m not clever enough

wellno · 13/07/2024 20:53

The Medieval period or metaphysics.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 13/07/2024 20:56

Jelly moulds.
Possibly one of the most neglected areas of nutrition and anthropomorphism, which the Victorians had a fine grasp of, but today we seem to have lost with people being absorbed with tik-tok, selfies, tattooing and 'three peak challanges'.

Studiedlots · 13/07/2024 20:56

I’ve already studied quite a few subjects
arts degree- philosophy, economics, sociology and psychology
Primary teaching degree
A diploma In autism studies
microbiology (with chemistry too)

I would love to study medicine…just to have the knowledge, I couldn’t actually be a doctor though…I’m too squeamish 😂
