Help - anyone give advice on Conservatoire application process?

Any help will be gratefully received. My son has applied for 6 Conservatoires. We completed the application though UCAS on time for the 3rd October deadline. We selected in person audition for all except RCM where we know you have to submit an online audition by 29/10/22. All good. There was no mention of online auditions also being needed but he has received an email from Leeds telling hi to go on to the Acceptd website to book hi in person audition, which he has done but the others have deadlines on there to submit an online audition. So now he and I are very confused nd worried as one of the deadlines is monday. He is not ready yet, not helped by a hospital stay and Glandular Fever 2 weeks ago. So if we selected in person audition doe we need to do anything or do we wait for emails inviting him to attend?
He has received next to no help from school.

With Leeds they often will drop the offer to anyone who hasn't got the grades and offer an integrated foundation year instead.

All of my child’s offers were EE (apart from one unconditional) so I’m sure yours will be the same.

I wish RNCM would put us out of our misery either way.

Completely agree. I have heard that some now re getting audition dates. We are still waiting too

Does anyone know if the offer from Leeds which is 96 points will include tariff points from music grades or is it purely from A levels?

I would have thought it did unless they specify from A Levels only.

If you look on the website it says ‘96 UCAS tariff points from level 3 studies or equivalent’ so would assume music grade points are taken into account. If you want a definite answer email admissions as I’m sure they will be more than happy to clarify.

Sadly it is a rejection for the young person I know.

I really hope they can pick themselves up and move on as they are very talented.

That’s a shame. I hope they find a place that’s perfect for them.

I hope so too. They’ve had a very tough year with one thing and another. This is partly what has kept them going.

Time to let them process it and hopefully be there to support moving forwards.

Sorry to hear of all the RNCM nos. How are they all doing for other offers?

He hasn't applied for anywhere else yet as his other choices are via UCAS and he didn't want to waste the application fee until he heard from RNCM.

We have heard from RBC and she recieved an offer. Had trinity audition today and welsh 2nd round next week.

So DS2 has had his audition this morning at RCM in London. He went by himself on th train and tube leaving home at 4.45am. He rang after the audition - buzzing. So proud of him...........now the wait.
