Bristol Accommodation allocation!

My dc didn't get any of his choices and has been allocated The Rackhay in the city centre. Wasn't thrilled at first, but seems to be coming round to the idea now.

Where have others been allocated and did they get any of their choices?

Anyone know much about these riverside accommodations, particularly The Rackhay, in the city centre?

Thank you!

@scabby1 He’s in a flat with 23 others and he’d got the names of 17, all of which seemed to be male. He queried it and they said he wasn’t in a profiled flat so I don’t know if some of the other 6 are female. I think he would have liked some female flatmates but he’s ok if they’re not. I doubt I’ll get any info from him for a while now. I’ll give him a few days before I check up on him 😂

@scabby1 do you know which block? This is the info on their website

Single beds in old blocks and flats, small double beds (4ft/122cm wide) in townhouse

Dd is in Wills but has seen lots of photos and videos on the group chat since people started moving in yesterday. Makes me feel better!

@NCTDN thank you! I couldn’t find that information anywhere (& DS was out last night). I don’t know what block he’s in, but he’s def not in a townhouse so I think I’m safe with the single bedding.
DS Is in a flat of 10. I don’t think any of his flat mates have moved in yet. I really hope we get to see a video soon-it would make me feel better too!

Just in case anyone finds themselves on this thread searching for info on Bristol accomodation... if you are also looking for en suite and self-catered you may want to consider Print Hall - a newer building in the city centre. Clean, with large kitchen for each "pod" of students (I think 8, maybe 6?). I feel like they are small double beds, too. Note, it is the building furthest from campus but there is a bus and the walk is 20 minutes. In my DS's pod it was everyone's first choice.
