How do you find out if a course has been in clearing in the past few years?

And if it is does that mean it went into clearing after having already accepted reduced grades from existing offer holders?

I've got the lists going back as far as 2009. What subject and course code are you after?

Basically yes. Some course may have extra vacancies though if for example another course in the same department hasn't recruited and they need extra bums on seats.

Are you looking for any particular univeristy? It is there in the lists and I will pm you the results later when I have got tea and birthday presents done and dusted - are you looking for anywhere in particular? RG, red brick, post 1992 etc or anywhere and everywhere?

TheSecondOfHerName V100 at Leicester has been in clearing every year going back as far as 2011

Evening Veg, can I also ask which RG unis pop up frequently for this history V100 course? We don’t have a plan B. How do you see this stuff?

NaturalBLondeYeahRight I will send you via pm the list for V100 at RG later this evening - just got back from Swansea radio 1 biggest weekend with ds2 and am knackered :)

I see this stuff because since 2009 when ds1 was first looking at unis, I have kept a copy of the clearing lists which are published as a supplement in the national press on results day. the youngest has gone off to uni now so not sure if I will keep this year's list although I probably will simply out of habit. Grin

Wow eatyourveg that is forward thinking, I'm so impressed (and wish I'd thought to do it last year!)
I will definitely do the same this year, and the year after ready for DD2's cycle (if she decides she wants to go) and to help friends DC, and hopefully posters on here too.
I had no idea they wouldn't still be available online somewhere.

If you get a minute, would you mind looking at DD's course, Classics Q800 or Q810, I don't expect there to be many places as departments are so small anyway, but it would be good to know.
