Hubble that’s good news!

That’s great Hubble. Your ds is going to be a bit knackered by the end of this though!

Good luck everyone today. Hold in there!

That does sound like good news Hubble! How is your DS feeling about them?

itinerant I spoke to no other candidate while I was there, as I found it hard to affect an easy camaraderie with people I’d probably never see again. Best to find a nice spot somewhere, read a book, get on with some school work, or do some light interview prep.

Hubble great news for your DS! More chances to chat about PPE, wonderful stuff.

Lobster I hope your DD isn’t dwelling too much - once the interview is over, on to the next thing, as it’s impossible to know how you’ve done in the eyes of the interviewers.

Thanks Hingle that’s reassuring
DS still hasn’t heard about any further interviews nor whether he can go home

We are playing the waiting game too. DD did her final interview this morning and now we have to wait to be released. I have half packed in case we are going home today.

He’s been told he can go home. Relieved!

itinerant, yay, home time! Large glass of Rioja, have a lovely Christmas, and see if an offer comes through!

That's a large glass for the both of you, is what I meant to write!

For anyone waiting around, Hannah Rygen expo at MAO is worth a visit (and free).

Good luck to everyone. After having read through this thread I'm almost a bit on edge myself!
Been nice to have applicants round college to liven it up after the end of MT Smile hope they're enjoying it.

Well done itinerant and hope you aren’t still dangling Marmite?

sorry Hannah *Ryggen

Still here!!! She's waiting for a phone call to say she can go.

Well done marmite, sounds like home and Wine might not be too far away. I was really glad to get home last night but feel a bit unhinged today. Think it might take a day or two to assimilate it all!

DD's second interview this morning went much better by the sounds of it.
Her exact words were she loved it and didn't want it to end!
Very different to yesterday.
Another one starting about now I think - fingers crossed she ends the day happily.

Huge Well Done to those who have finished.

Wine will be much needed after a three hour drive home. Looking forward to seeing her and chatting about it all on the way back.
10th Jan seems like an awfully long way away.

Joining this thread a bit late but my DD goes to interview next week for Oxford. She has a good offer from her second choice uni but still very nervous.

Report
HingleMcCringleberry · 06/12/2017 16:47

Never too late Dancingdreamer ! For the nosey among us, can you tell us what college and what course?

Report
Dancingdreamer · 06/12/2017 18:58

Science student for Queens. I think I may get into trouble with her if I say much more in case she is too identifiable!

Home safe and sound and a bit happier. Now to get Christmas tree up!!
Good luck for tomorrow everyone.

Well done today interview survivors!

Is anyone else in a similar position to me and perhaps Hubble, in that thinking about Christmas had been effectively postponed til after?

My brain was too full with this and other stuff and all of a sudden I’ve noticed with slight bewilderment that the neighbours all seem to have their lights up.

Same here! DS just back and tucked into a huge portion of chicken curry. Now talking about the whole thing in far less negative terms. Wherever he ends up, one things for sure, he’ll miss his mama’s cooking WinkWink
