We plan to visit as my son is keen to have a look around and as it's our first ever uni visit I'm super keen too ! Only thing is he's received no email ticket or information yet . Not a problem as I emailed and queried it and got a speedy reply apologising saying they were to be sent out in the next 24 hours .... Except it hasn't been . Now as I'm new to all this I not sure of the etiquette , do I pester again or will it miraculously appear ?
Is anyone planning a visit and if so have you received your info yet ? Many thanks , this uni lark is certainly ageing me Hmm.

I haven't been to any open days with our son, for various complicated reasons. Thanks for the tips here. Can I just ask for clarification on the not-interviewing point? Does this apply to all subjects?

They definitely interviewed for Modern Languages last year.

This meant a trip from Yorkshire in September for the Open Day and back in November for an interview. Although I hated the journey in November in the dark and wet at the time it did help to confirm that was where she wanted to go - not least as she was interviewed by the Head of Department who was very positive and approachable !

Oops, meant to say that very few of her friends were interviewed (apart from Medicine) for any other subjects (auditions for performing arts were usual) and that was her only interview (applied to Nottingham, Birmingham, Cardiff and Bath too)

Re accommodation, we saw Wessex as well as Glen, believe both the same price for same class of rooms. Kitchens at Wessex a bit newer, and bar looked nicer. But DD preferred bedrooms at Glen, and liked the idea of the walk better than the bus.

Thanks, Tracey. He wants to do History.
