I know there are threads on this but difficult to trawl through them to get the information I would like.

Anyone who has or knows of DCs who got offers,

What grades GCSE did they have?

What was the offer?

What was the subject?

Did they have to sit a 'special' exam as well and how much did this affect the outcome.

Answers to any/some of these would be gratefully received.Smile

Not all the colleges send emails. Some colleges are slower than others at sending snail mail.
But rejections feedback is apparently sent to the school and I am told that you can ask the school first. Or the admissions tutor for the college but I'm not sure about that as a first off. The school is the best - I once read a book (terrible book) by someone who went to DS school in which he described being rejected for interview then his school rang up and he got an interview and got in. I am not sure how much that happens but I think this is why its best to go through the school first.

Thanks gelatinous and funnyperson - we'll try going through the school and see how we get on.

Fingers crossed that your ds gets better news gelatinous. Hopefully no news is good news as according to what I gleaned from lurking on TSR threads, my ds got his rejection email in the early stages of interview invites being sent out by his chosen college
