Went to Littlehampton beach yesterday. it was lovely and we had a great time. came back to realise that i am a tanning enigma.

My shoulders, arms and back were already quite well tanned from being in the garden. my legs looked like a couple of milk bottles.

so i wore shorts and a strapless top in the hope that my legs would get some sort of tan.

I came home and found that actually my back is slightly sore and a tiny bit burnt and yet my legs are still the same pasty shade of dead they have alwasy been.

I think they are made of a tan proof material that should excite sun cream companies.

I fear i shall never have that golden glow that Trills has.
I just look like an upside down triffle.

Will have to borrow that bowl off norma to wear to the wedding

gigi you are not the only one, me and my sil tried in vein to tan our legs last weekend, we had lovely tanned shoulders and arms and bloody white legs still

it's bizaar isn't it.

Im not a real sun worshiper but because my top half is quite nicely tanned i look a bit silly with such pasty legs.

I find that (unless you're in Egypt or similar) you tan better when you just happen to be outside than when you're deliberately trying to get tanned.

Obviosuly that makes no sense, but still it's how it seems.

My top half has only tanned from walking about or pottering in the garden. I dont sunbathe as such.

will now be wearing a wooly jumper and hot pants for the next 3 weeks so that i can get an even match
